The storybook series cover arts have always been my favorites and for good reason. They both signified the tone of each games and made Sonic a badass who truly fits in both the world of the Arabian Nights and King Arthur. 🔥🗡
What i would like to see in the future is a third sonic storybook game, a fourth sonic riders, shadow the hedgehog 2 and other characters get their own spin off games too like silver, amy, rouge and Team chaotix
I love Okano's art style for Sonic. THAT is what Superstars should have looked like, cel shaded like Viewtiful Joe, with the characters looking like that missing link between the Mega Drive and Dreamcast eras, because ever since Generations the original design does not look in 3D, and Superstars is no different. Plus a lot of Sonic's personality and edge has been sucked out of him, making him less like Sonic and more like a bad Mickey Mouse tribute act with the balance of cool and cute being tipped wildly to one side. Also seeing the Advance/Rush covers with Uekawa's art makes me long for a return of 2D again, because a lot of the 3D character renders can look a bit dull. Especially when they're near enough like what they are in the games, thus making them even more unremarkable. For Riders 1. Japan. Easily. For a possible storybook game, rather than Sonic being the star who gets dragged to another world, let it be Tails, and have be the stand in for D'Artagnan, while The Three Musketeers would be Sonic, Shadow and Silver. Blaze could be a princess unhappy with the people being badly treated and thus looks to become a vigilante under the alias of Puss In Boots, so to hide her identity.
@@charactersin-depth3472 I was talking it out with a friend, and I kinda see it being Tails would arrive in town, land himself in trouble with the law due to a misunderstanding and because of his second tail making him seem unnatural. But the fox cub would manage to get his hands on a sword and manage to hold his own for a little while as he'd be trying to get a way from soldiers. But as the net would be closing in, due to overwhelming numbers, in would jump Sonic to the fox cub's aid, finding it unfair so many soldiers going after one so small and young. And after the ordeal, and the blue hedgehog introducing himself as a musketeer - much Tails' confusion - he'd instantly take a liking to young Miles, even calling him by Tails and would look at taking him to the tavern where other musketeers were. I had to my friend I could see Shadow being a little unsure about Sonic's idea to let a little kid join their ranks, but despite being quite cold to the fox cub, Tails would ultimately prove his worth and earn Shadow's respect before it was over. Silver however would of course be more a middle ground of Sonic and Shadow, believing if the fox cub could pull his weight with the group, then he'd have no problem with young Miles joining them. Also with it being Silver, I'm sure that he'd have a crush on Princess Blaze, which Sonic might tease him for, however when Amy who would own the tavern they'd drink in would give eyes to Sonic, causing him to get flustered, Silver of course would look at teasing Sonic back. All while Shadow quietly find the bickering over ladies quite annoying, but he'd suffer in silence as he'd hold his tongue. For Amy, along with owning the tavern she'd also be a Tarot woman, and I could see her calling the young fox cub to one side - given her cards foretold of his coming - and giving him a Tarot reading that would drop hints of the story. Like an imposter Puss In Boots, who might be Fang, armed with a sword and gun and hired by the main bad to disgrace the reputation of the real Puss In Boots, once (s)he was getting too popular and needed to done away with. Unaware (s)he was the royal Princess Blaze. And I've rambled on long enough here 😆😅
Kinda curious what your take is on Star Fox Adventures and the prequel Manga Farewell, Beloved Falco. It's the only game besides Assault and *sigh* Command, that's very story and character driven of the Star Fox games. It gave us Krystal, a whole planet explored, an attempt at a fictional language, and a surprising state of Star Fox post Lylat Wars.
There is one thing they HAVE to do if they ever remaster ShtH, and that is allowing the player to pick the ending by themselves instead of freaking forcing them to get all the endings that don't even matter
@@jamiegioca9448 the endings DO matter in the sense that they're supposed to show that shadow in that time was a blank slate that could become anything he could become good,he could become evil or her could become neutral, the endings show what shadow could be which is very important to the theme of the story of the game
Okay I said this before on the previous video and you probably didn’t read it but I will say it again : Could you do a video ranking of the stories in the main series games and you better include the story book games there cause they do stories that are worth talking about
