Just noticed 2 Errors in the video: I meant to say Speed Jungle looks like Stardust Speedway, NOT Speed Highway.. and the CIRCUS Level theme will be in Sonic Superstars (like Carnival Night Zone), not a Casino haha. I really like that they are leaning into the whole idea that all robots require a flicky to operate including the mini bosses. I don't know if it requires the heat energy, or our they actually in a zombie state controlling the boss?

Seeing as Ian Flynn is probably involved in this is some measure, if nothign else as a consultant, then it is likely like the Egg Grapes from Archie Sonic, which drains the life force from a living being. This will inevitably kill the victim, but, as I understand it, for a singular drone it can be a time consuming process, hence the need for a smaller lifeform whereas Eggman charged one of his bases with teh entirety of hte colony Charmy was from. Spoiler alert: Charmy and his girlfriend are the only survivors of said colony, and Charmy was in denial that his family, including his baby sister, were all dead.

Believe this or not, I was on my way to See Transformers: Rise of The Beasts when this popped up. I mean, halfway to the theater when it came in. But, this game actually sounds like a labor of love that wants to stand on its own and proud of it. All I can say is: It feels great to be a Sonic Fan again

Very good. Very exciting. The gameplay definitely looks more polished, and faithful to the classics. And more importantly, fun then say Sonic Generations and especially Sonic Forces Classic Sonic gameplay. I genuinely cannot wait for this game. It checks out as being a truly solid meaty game. That’s all I asks for.

I’m REALLY confident in the gameplay, visuals, and level themes. I do wonder what the soundtrack is gonna be like cause we have both Jun and Tee doing the music. Hoping for at least a B tier soundtrack like lost world (which is to say a decent enough soundtrack with occasional standout tracks). And if it is “chiptune”, I hope it’s less sonic 4 episode 1 and more episode 2 cause that game actually did have a few standout tracks (namely the metal sonic boss music).

To me, the Chaos Emerald avatar powers are slowly starting to feel like they were inspired by moves from the Naruto series, with the clones and water powers and it got me thinking of Shadow Clones & Water Style. It would be cool for Sonic to have more Shonen Anime influences other than just Dragon Ball. That's just my perspective though.

Going off from what I see. This can definitely be a family friendly game. Yes there are some parts where you go fast. BUT overall it seems as though it’s the pace is a little slower. I think the idea of reusing the word "avatar" is that "avatar" was not a canonical name for anything in Forces, it's the name of the mechanic and the character's name is whatever the player wants

I'm not even a 2D Sonic fan like that, but this game has me a bit hyped. We still need to see more of what the game variety has to offer (and preferably not footage of people who play it poorly-- which is what we've seen so far), but we've really only seen substantial amount of gameplay footage with Sonic in one zone. I'm optimistic though.

If theres a fire shield, then wouldnt the red emerald givng fire power to Sonic n gang be kinda redundant it. Not saying that they could have a different use for it, like maybe Sonic getting fire from the red emerald can go through magma or something. I just hope all the emeralds offer something unique for Sonic n gang and not feel like a replacement for the elemental shields (Plus wisps too). The water special from the light blue emerald already looks like it gives something unique for Sonic compared from the bubble shield so i hope thats goes for the red emerald if it offers fire abilities. Same with other emeralds.

I'm glad there's no Green Hill Zone and Chemical Plant, they where getting pretty stale by 2017 and Sonic Frontiers was pretty much a send off to the past as the lyrics said "leave the life you knew before, see other world worth fighting for" pretty much said "Sonic Frontiers is a send off of the past we're going forward" again this is because Sonic Movie 1 and Sonic Movie 2 had shown that the series can thrive post Sega Dreamcast. and I'm very happy that Naoto Oshima is involved BC he is the true father of Sonic the Hedgehog and if this is a banger SegaSammy should just buy Arzest and let them work on Classic Sonic games going forward while Sonic Team focus on Modern Sonic.

I don't get why people keep asking for shadow in the classic games, it would literally make no sense, sonic is trying to have an actual canon timeline now, with actual continuity, shadow didn't meet sonic til adventure 2, he was in cyrosleep, it is literally impossible for a classic shadow to exist, when will people get this. seriously you want a classic shadow so bad you're willing to ruin and remove his backstory for it.

Lore-wise, it wouldn't make any sense for the reasons listed. Visual design-wise, it'd be interesting to see how a Classic styled Shadow would look. Doesn't mean they should do it. They'd have to play into some time traveling storyline again which might fk up the lore again. A character like Big or Cream can probably naturally exist in that timeline and environment. There aren't many characters introduced in the post-Adventure games that could make sense to exist since some are from different timelines or dimensions, some are from other worlds or areas that seem foreign to the same world-- at the very least. With Shadow or Silver, only way to work that is time travel shenanigans which isn't worth delving into again imho. That all being said, they should totally reintroduce Classic core members of Team Chaotix again. Vector, Espio and to a lesser degree, Charmy. Would certainly prefer them over Mighty and Ray in a future Classic game.
