0:17 bridge island beta 0:38 press factory beta 1:04 cyber station beta 1:18 sky temple beta (probably much older version) 1:32 golden capital (beta or original, can't really tell the difference) 1:47 frozen base (probably just normal) 2:11 pinball carnival (most likely beta) 2:27 sand sanctuary (sounds like some genesis action going on) 2:42 lagoon city (this sounds like a genesis) 3:06 speed jungle (i don't care if this is on a genesis hardware this is a freaking bop) and then just repeat that.
@@I-like-Sonic-91 I have listened to those beta tracks, and it has left me wondering if Jun's work was simply meant to be placeholder stuff. Maybe I'm thinking too hard about it, but it feels weird how they decided to redo some of Jun's tracks, but not all of them
Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out what the track at 1:05 is. I finally realized it's from Cyber Station. Honestly i kinda like that version and wouldn't mind hearing a full version of it.
you can skip these credits it's just a bit obtuse. You have to pause the game and then hit "exit" and you go to the main menu (or boot screen in the case of Last Story)@@Gage_Brumley
2:10 - 3:20 Actually sounds alright. Not better than the original arrangements, but still better than a lot of the other genesis synthesizer stuff. It kind of reminds me of a sound that would come out of a GBA if it could produce higher quality sounds. Also doesn't sound like something by Jun, maybe someone else took over for the second half?
I think this shows that jun is good at coming up with core melodies and note progression but i think he was too focused on using what was closest to genesis sounds. The other composers probably thought to use other instruments to make them stand out more. That actually makes sense to why a lot of the main zone themes credit jun sunoe and tee lopes. My theory is that jun wanted to focus recreating the sound but the other composeres wanted to focus on recreating the style instead. Which is why the beta themes sound the same as the complete versions other than the synth sounds used. For what its worth everything came out well in the end even if some tracks are hit or miss to some.
@@TheFallenStar64yeah, but it would seem to still carry the flaws of his Sonic 4 music. He doesn't try too much when it comes to wider numbers of instruments, or to even try mixing in some more conventional synthesis with the Genesis instruments.
@@Gage_Brumley PUMP THE BRAKES, He can still compose music for Sonic, Just the new releases and or Remastered games, just leave the classic music for Tee Lopes.
@@Tozito911 Stop spreading false info. That's a remix. PINBALL CARNIVAL / Sand Sanctuary are NOT COMPOSED BY JUN SENOUE. Neither are the bits in this credits medley that don't feature a Sonic 1 drumsnare.
@@senorlock5128 also, “stop spreading false info” isn’t a good start to your reply. you can’t assume if someone is spreading false information if they really meant to.
@@Tozito911 I apologize if I was overtly rude, but it is frustrating me how much misinfo about the soundtrack that Sonic fans spread. Speed Jungle is a composition BY Tee Lopes, he confirmed that on Twitter. He is the first person to come up with the melody. He also confirmed that he did NOT arrange the credits music portion of Speed Jungle, so that is definitely a rearrangement of his work. Not the other way around. It is not a beta song.
that's why it pisses me off how so many people give all credit to Jun for Sky Temple. zero respect for the arrangement that actually makes the song sound good.
I don't really care if he does a good job in the modern games, if it means this man will have to compose more Classic Sonic music, i want him gone off the soundtrack
