It's a shame that mecha sonic has completely regained his memory as a villain, but given that he was once an executive in the Eggman Empire, this revenge is understandable.
I don’t think this issue would go through with it, but I can imagine this turning out like the opening in Unleashed but MUCH worse. On top of that, if the goal was to telekinetically control bots, then how can it do mind swapping?
seeing that cover i cant wait for sonic to clash with this old rusted up mecha sonic (still probably has some strength in those crusty bolts of his but i doubt enough to defeat current IDW sonic)
So would sonic be transported into Mecha Sonic body as well, or is it more like sonics personality would be overwritten and now there would be two identical minds in Mecha and Sonic?
Woah Yikes!!! That’s so mess up Mecha Sonic. I have a feeling this 🤔will be even darker then issue 3, but will probably have a happy or mid happy ending. Guess I will find out, when it releases.
You know, I was originally more hyped for issue 56 than Scrapnik Island issue 4. However after reading issue 56 which was ok ig but lousy as a finale, I am very hyped to see what this issue has to offer. Also as someone who likes Metal more than Mecha, I admit that Mecha will have the better arc.
I think it's very intentional that issue 56 felt unsatisfying as it's supposed to be seem like some grand finale but it shows how Surge and Kit have only fallen into the cycle that Eggman and Sonic are in rather than stopping it, and it too reflects how tired Sonic is becoming of giving people the benefit of the doubt. Sonic is probably gonna snap at some point later in IDW (Not in a killing his foes way though because it would be out of character and also this is still a comic for kids)
What?!?! But Mecha Sonic has pretty much the same plan as Dr. Octopus when he took over Spider Man's body and became Superior Spider Man in the comics. But in this case, it would mean that...
not gonna lie, as much as I like the robot sonics, I'm really starting to get tired of the whole "they have the chance and is going to be redeemed but psych, eggman's programming too strong and they will turn evil again eventually" cliche. ps. I'm not counting shard, since he pretty much became a different character after changing into shard, and he got his ass stomp by metal at the end so hard, he practically got deleted from the timeline
