They definitely are worse in Colors, but that makes sense cause it's on Wii. Generations and Lost World are about as good as this, but not quite this, mainly the awesome lighting in this game. Sonic Forces just looks terrible. It looks like so many steps backwards, the lighting, the character models, they all look much worse. This game is just gorgeous... maybe too gorgeous as the frame rate shows.
I believe that generations had to take things down a notch with the graphics at the time so it could play with less frame rate drops (Forces has no excuses) The new games in my opinion losses their quality when it comes to game progression, they are always so short. While I like generations level design better, I beat the game in one sitting and the challenge missions just felt like padding. Seriously sonic 3 and knuckles is longer than sonic forces.
I appreciate the fact they brought back the Tornado and its stages just like in Sonic Adventure. The end result is pretty lackluster, not a fan of the QTEs, but hey, they tried to honor the fact that this is called Sonic World Adventure in Japan
Fr though idk if you completed it now or something but I want to continue playing the game (even though I'm playing the psnow version) but this stage I keep dying in either from input delay or something I had no control over
I just tried to emulate it and got stuck on this part, in my game the boss would pretty much shoot out from multiple cannons at once, while here its only one at a time, my best bet is that they nerfed the difficulty in some later version of the game or theres some sort of anti-piracy thing going on
5:10 I really can’t explain why, but that little part of the daytime boss theme is the PERFECT part to finish scrapping a mech on. It must gives off really strong “this is it, let’s finish it off!” Energy
I like this version of the Tornado plane, it maintains elements of the previous versions: 1. Has the original Tornado’s design (albeit futuristic). 2. Can morph into the X-wing mode like the Tornado 2 in mid air. 3. Instead of bullets, it has homing missiles that are found on the Cyclone (Sonic Adventure 2).
To be honest I think this version of a Tornado level is way more fun than in SA1. In SA1 you just mess around with the left stick and hold the shoot button until you lock onto enough enemies and then you release the shoot button. Having to press different buttons instead is way more fun to me.
Haven’t played unleashed since like 2011 bc I was never able to beat this stage, but damn hearing that music brought back so many memories. I still remember that night trying to beat this level and then giving up and never playing it again lol
Some people, like Clement, prefer the Wii version. I don't actually. I like the Xbox 360 version. Better graphics and all. only part that sucks is having to get all those sun and moon medals. that's a pain in the ass. Especially during boss fights.

I hate how they come at you so fast at a million different angles to where you can't react in time! I can play Guitar Hero with 5th hyperspeed but THIS is ridiculous!
This boss is an absolute nightmare. I just came from the switch and am playing it on PS Now. I do not have fast enough reaction times to use the ps4 controller
What made this stage hard for me was I bought the HD Version the day of me getting my Series S, so when I played this, I was confused because I came from Switch and PlayStation so yeah

this stage was the reason why i forced myself to get familiar with the xbox controls. (i play on nintendo consoles, so this definitely messed me up.. more than i want to admit.) thank you sonic unleashed, for making me get used to button inputs
For anyone struggling like myself on this God-forsaken level and you're playing on emulator: Turn down the fps to 30fps. The amount of missiles eggman fires is frame-dependent. I was playing uncapped fps at 120+fps and I could not beat this level because there were missiles coming non-stop. I turned it down to 30fps and beat it first try.
the more modern voice for Tails obviously has had far better vocal direction and there's no stiff lines however 1 thing good about the SA voice is that Tail's doesn't sound like a straight up chick like he does in this game.
These levels would’ve been so much better if they chopped the quick time portion in half and added some flying around rings or in the aqueducts of spagonia idk

I assume you play on Xbox Series X. I also found myself having difficult time getting through it while i had no problem with clearing this level like 10 years ago. Turn out the original part of this game has series frame drops hence making the game runs a lot slower. Turning off FPS Boost will make this part doable again.
This stage was a breeze for me when I was younger, but I just bought the game on the Xbox One after years of playing other consoles and this controller mapping is messing messing me up.
