Wow! 10mS is a big amount compared to the other units in its price range. Thanks for the review Leo! You should definitely revisit this bracket of products in a new shoot out, especially since we've had a few updates in recent months. The Hotone Ampero, Valeton GP, this one, the Flamma, etc., maybe do a "budget pedal board" shoot out, which is the best overall. ;)

I think the the loop doubling the latency is what should be expected. You're doing a D/A conversation to the send and an A/D conversion from the return. I guess the units that don't have this increment are preemptively inducing latency to compensate free FX loop.

Please don't ever stop checking latency. Manufacturers don't often publish the spec.

Leo your compositions and playing never let us down. Amazing. With regard to this unit how would you rate it’s effects? I’m looking at it for effects only as I really like using the ToneX pedal for amps but need something for effects and don’t want a Helix stomp.

Anyone know how the looper and drummer features in the Sonicake MatriBox2 compare to the Donner Arena 2000? The Donner offers no count-off feature when using the drummer -- in fact, the drummer and looper seem totally isolated -- as in, the drummer does not even stay in sync with the looper.

They're both great tbh. I feel the matribox 2 is slightly better tonal wise tho. The arena has bluetooth which is great also

Il problema, se così lo vogliamo chiamare, è che sotto le tue dita suona bene tutto..... Interessante. Per quello che costa, potrei tenerlo in considerazione per processare le acustiche, caricando le giuste IR, quando suono con il gruppo, evitando di attaccare/staccare gli strumenti da HX Stomp XL. Presenza di uscite bilanciate e loop effetti sono un bel plus in quella fascia di prezzo.

I just got one of these things and it is pretty decent. The only thing I’m a bit confusing is when it comes to the CTRL switch. I’ve made a couple of my own presets and when I try to set the control button to turn an effects off (indicated by the red light)….sometimes it turns the wrong ones off…or turns them all off….or turns the reverse off. I’ve spent hours playing a game of whack a mole….or something. I know I’m doing something wrong, but I just don’t what I’m not seeing here. Everyone’s doing reviews and saying how great this thing is but not explaining these concepts. I get it eventually but I’m not clear on how I’m doing it. They could have made that aspect of it a lot easier in my opinion. You should be able to go to the control button setting (CTRL 3)…and it should show all the modules (none of them greyed out) and there should be two check boxes… “on” or “off” in the red light state..not just one check box.

10 ms with the loop is a lot, all pedalboards, excluding boss gt1000, suffer from latency when they have all the effects turned on, as well as the fx loops.

I believe humans cant even detect latency under 15-20ms so dont think it will be an issue

Hi, I would say that you have to take into consideration the latency of your whole system...if you add and effect with A D A conversion in the loop....latency sum app, if you add a wireless system, latency sum app, if you are few meters away from the speaker, latency sum up. At the end, the whole latency of your entire system, could provide you with an uncomfortable experience.

I correct any noticeable latency in my recordings by sliding the guitar (latent) tracks forward to drop it back in on time. As long as it doesn't interfere with the creativity of the initial "take". I also use a different unprocessed head phone mix without latency to mentally stay in time
