I saw a report that showed Sonny wrote 36 to 39 songs. A lot of them are to this day classics. Sonny did have talent, a contant belief in himself and talent of his wife Cher. I saw them while attending one of their shows. Talk about chemistry. The thing that struck me is how small Sonny wax, yet totally in control of the show, and how Cher was so sexy, talented and so thin. The show never went unto mean spirited foul language garbage. Cher sang at times just w/back up musicians and a mike. It was always a show that a 5 yr old or a grandmother or people middle age could and did enjoy. Lots of respect for their stance against drug use, it wasn't popular to be against drug us then or now. They were grand and collectively we all got upset when they divorced.
I remember these two with love and affection. I don't think I'd ever want to know them because I might find out they weren't as perfect as they seem to me. RIP Sonny. Love to you, Cher.
If you look back through your relationships....you can always find love. Sonny & Cher had a GREAT LOVE....and gave millions of people happiness sharing that LOVE with each other.
Cher is a queen, but I will always love Sonny too. Such a good sport. Always willing to be the butt of.the jokes. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy and a happy one. Loved this show as a kid! .
So that makes you a lot older than me... not by much though LoL I still have the Capital brand cassettes ( the ones w/the flowery boxes) I recorded the shows on..well some of them got lost in the moves.
they’re just jokes, if you can’t joke in a relationship you shouldn’t be in one. Also he wrote the scripts and basically made the jokes about himself for her to say
@@donnalombardo212 oh contrare..... Their comedy was malignant and abusive.... people who love eachother never do that. They divorced. Also they made it ok for America to engage in put down humor.
