Every "review" is an intro into Focal. LOL! As a B&W 802D2 owner, I was very impressed with the Sonus Faber Olymica III's I heard, but then again i'm not a fan of the new B&W D3 series either. This hobby is very subjective, and the best advise I can give someone new to this hobby is go out and have a listen and make your own conclusions. We all have different opinions on what sounds good to our ears.
I have been watching these reviews for a couple of week now and I am hooked. You are honest and very knowledgeable about your product line. Great job! You are the Revzilla (Motorcycle Accessories) of the audio world. I wish you guys had a store in Houston Tx.
In one video he says don't pay any attention to reviews because everything gets a good review. And immediately quotes a review. In this video he goes right to a review talking about the Focal. What is it about so many salespeople that they cannot help talking out of both sides of their face?
Right! Audiophools are so full of crap, saying, "Well I don't believe in reviews. I trust my own ears...blah blah.." But...just try to sell a component that does NOT have reviews! LOL ;-)
behexen250 Speak for yourself don’t guess that others might be so foolish, where the hell did you get 90% from ? I don’t know anyone who would refer to themselves as an audiophile and buy a component based on a review it’s pretty much a contradiction. Whilst I like to hear about new stuff and other people’s opinions in the end for me it’s only my ears that influence my opinion.
What he means by a "real" Sonus Faber is not the bargain basement garbage they have been pumping out for the last few years to tap into the low end buyers (sub 10k a pair). Even the sub 20k stuff is almost "cheap" (I previously owned a set of Cremonas) which fit that second category, but when you see the build quality difference between the Cremonas and something costing 40-60k you are talking a whole other ball game, it is chalk and cheese in every way. Sonus Faber have only ever produced one decent sub 10k set of speakers, Electa Amator II bookshelf speakers (still kicking myself for selling them).
