When you finally got into showing nature shots you had taken with this lens, your presentation turned to gold. RU-vidrs do not realize that most people actually do understand spoken word even if the speaker's mouth is not visible on the screen. For the hard of hearing you could put subtitles. As I said, I am impressed by your pictures with this lens. Currently, there is a second-hand for sale quite near here. My bankruptcy will be your hawkeye's fault! (Is that a beautiful picture or not? WOW!)
Thanks for the feedback. I've given it some thought and I'm going to change up my presentation style a little to get to examples earlier and showcase them and also add in footage from shooting. I'll look into subtitles, need to figure those out. Thanks.

Not exactly the lens I would pick for the Birds of Prey venue but, this is a great lens for portraiture. What I like about this lens is that I can often shoot it wide pen while not needing HSS because wide open is an effective f/5.6.
You're exactly right, I loved the quality but didn't like the results due to the shoot. I did a second shoot in the studio and it was amazing. There's a video with those results. Thanks.

Great review. You really should have focused this video towards the thing this lens is marketed to be great at. Human portraits and with the latest firmware update, pet portraits. Waiting for that one. Loved your video style. Keep up the quality work.
Thanks for the feedback. You're right, this lens deserves a portrait test and recently I did one. Look at my recent videos and you'll find one where I used this lens in the studio. It was, to say the least, remarkable.

I have used it. I've found that results depend on the lens you're using on it. Different lenses will have different motors and thus produce different results. Is there a particular lens you'd like to see tested?
@@CameraLessonsOnline Then only Canon lens I have left is the original 50 1.8, but if the MC-11 is a good performer, I'd invest in Canon lenses again. There have been reports that the recent 2.0 firmware update has greatly improved performance on the AF adapters (including unlocking previously unusable focus modes and features) but I haven't been able to confirm for myself, as I don't actually have the adapter.
You dwell on this not being for beginners. That would seem obvious. It is not a general purpose lens. You get around to that by the end but the first half of the video was a waste.

Agreed, that's why I came back and used it again in a studio environment, where I think it really excelled. I'm still not convinced about the full amount of bokeh control, but found the image quality and color reproduction to be superb.
