Just bought the GM1 few weeks ago and today is my last day to return it. So glad cause ima be getting this. Seems like every other week Sony dropping some new heat 🤔🔥 dope video
I have the OG version and very happy with it. This looks like a great update and I’d probably purchase it if I didn’t already own the version I. I think I may instead invest in the PZ 16-35 for hiking and traveling light. Great review Terry, thanks for you honest opinions and engaging video.
Smaller and lighter is def a plus! Great video man! I am rocking the V1. Not sure it would be worth a trade-up just yet but maybe get this lens for my B-Cam. Great job, I like the longer form video and in-depth dive into it! This is def not just an ad video!
really seems like a beautiful & tempting lens but think i’m going to stay with my PZ f4 lens paired with the zve1 if I was in a pinch for light at least the 12,800 dual iso could save me..
I'm currently using this 16-35 pz lens and I love it. The new 16-35mm GM II lens is indeed good, but I find it not very sensible to invest in an overpriced lens for just a 10% difference in size . Before this, I had a 14mm f/2.8 lens that I always used at f/8. So, if I can get a smaller, compact lens in the 16-35mm range, especially at f/4, it would be the best option for me.
I’m sticking with the pz. If 16-35 were my main lens I might switch up, but I only use the 16-35 for landscape and the tiny bit of video I do, neither of which I need f2.8 for
Got the original 16-35. Besides being smaller/lighter (which i REALLY want by the way. I got this paired with an A7C for a small form factor) i cant see dropping more money to buy the version 2 if my OG lens still hits! Now if i can find someone to buy mine for full price then.......all bets are off lol!
I’m always on and off about Photography and buy and sellmy gear like crazy. I’ve never owned a 16 to 35 GM I usually shoot primes my question would be would it be smarter to invest in the 20 mm 1.8 35 1.4 GM for $800 cheaper. And seeing that I wouldn’t use the 16 mm and that often just grab a Viltrox 16 1.8 for 500? As she portrait, photography and travel photography.
Man I wish Sony would get rid of the silver eyelets and dangling rings on all of their cameras. They look so bad. Sony cameras = Tesla interiors (sensor, processors, battery, etc) and 1985 TransAm exteriors (plastic bodies, pleather grips, 1985 LCD screens, menu fonts, and dangling rings). I just don't get it. Sony makes some of the nicest phones, TV's and tech in general, including camera sensors and processors, yet they can't figure out camera bodies and parts. Makes no sense.
