My buddy just bought an xb12 and I gotta admit is sounds really good for its size. Decent bass, pretty clear vocal, and it’s size makes it great for clipping onto a backpack or belt loop.
Again just plain and simple overview that is good. Really like that you dug deep in the settings to tell us what you can achieve by adjusting the sound
you dont need the app to pare more Speakers together you just have to pare your phone with one speaker and Press the WPC butten then you turn on the next speaker an push the button there. they will connect automaticly after they connect you can take the next speaker an repeat the process (turn the speaker on, Press the WPC and wait till they connect automaticly) after that you have got an perfekt Party Cain it works When I whant to pare my Xb 41 to my XB 60 or my XB 41 to 2x XB 31 sorry for my bad english (I am from Germany)
I have a Sonys orange/red SRS XB30 and only bad is that when battery gets low, so sound drop down too but I can live with that. And I ordered yellow SRS XB21 for to go because Sony is the best.
the xb402m seems to be the replacement for the xb42 cause its naming is close -> 402-42 its just a 0 between the 4 and 2 and also it looks similar with the fabric rubber mix on the body as well as the led strips like the new xb22/32
I just got the XB32 and seriously I'm thinking of returning it because of the horrible 20% thing that interrupt your music when it goes down of it, and it doesn't let you put the volume up pass 50% until you plug it in. And also the battery durability is not even close to what they advertise. I hope they do something about it though their app.
Believe me, you WANT to charge any portable speaker when they reach 20% battery capacity. Or else the product won't last 6 months. True for every brand, Sony is atleast the most honest about it.
I returned the 31 because of the nagging charge voice basically had all mainstream bluetooth big 3 and ue boom2 line JBL charge line and the Sony 31 they all got returned and got a JBL xtreme 2.
Gymcaddy I have a question to see if your have this issue as well, I got a new Xb41 and when I play it at half volume to 65%, to a 70, 75, 80, 85 hertz sweep it makes a weird sound that scares me. Does this happen to you? Please reply.
"still looks brand new" hit be hard because my little brothers dog chewed on my speaker and tore the mesh on the top 😥😥 luckily he gave me his 31 but 41 is better and bigger but it looks so bad now

Do not buy Sony xb32. Such a bad product. Terrible battery life. Annoyingly turns off after 15 mins continuously as aux is plugged in. Volume cuts by half when battery is low, with annoying voice telling you to charge. Difficult connecting to laptop Bluetooth.
