Thank you David. Yes those belts can finicky. Sometimes I can replace them without any issues but this one decided to give me a little attitude why because I was recording. 🤣
Thank you D.knight Ingram. I really enjoy working on anything that contains a circuit board. I can make parts on my 3D printers if needed. This gal is not afraid to get her hands dirty. I enjoy firing up my CNC machine as well and this summer I will be installing my plasma waterbed table and plasma cutter. Yeah I like my machines. 🤗
@@dustyrhodes2118 hello Dusty. It could a few possibilities. Could sensor issue, belt issue or switch issue. Without seeing your device I can't say exactly.
This is the 4th belt replaceing video I've watched on these machines. However, I don't think the belts are the problem with my unit - I'm sure they should be replaced - It seems to be doing what it should - but it's not reading the discs or playing maybe is a better way to describe it through a compatible Sony system. The 5 disc player works fine. I bought a warrant with it and would love to send it in for repailr - Or am I hooking it up wrong ? It's the same model u worked on.
Thank you for posting this. This seems to be a very common issue and perhaps the only reason these get abandoned. We were lucky to acquire one on Facebook Marketplace...for free. The person offering it was basically explaining she had no use for it especially because it doesn't work., but she knew what exactly what was wrong with it. CD quality, 44.1 KHZ at 16 bit sampling, is the next best thing to the studio DAT or the original master tape.

Nice cd repair fix question will a lose set of belts cause the devise to not load a cd or is that a different problem the front display just flashes two lines all power is fine it's a technics 60+1
Hello Robert. I do apologize for me not answering sooner. There can be a few possibilities ranging from a belt issue, to a sensor issue or actual board component failure. Without proper diagnosis I can't say for certain.
Hello Sam, without having the unit in front of me the problem would in the power supply board. Numerous components can cause the unit to power On. I would need to have the machine on the work bench to properly diagnosis the issue.
iRepair iDevices thank you for the prompt response and l just listed it on eBay a couple hours ago bcuz l gave up trying as it still almost brand new and thanks again 👍
I have a sony cdpcx355 the belts went bad in the back of the unit and i change both of them they work great. Now the cd won't turn to play the music, it will pick up the cd for several second and then put it back in the tray over and over again and again what can i do to fix the problem. Is it the motor that turn the cd or is it something that tell the motor to cut on Please help thanks Charles

People mail their units to me. They email me at irepairidevices2@gmail.com providing me information on the unit they are having issues with and I quote them a price and then they ship their units to me.
There are several possibilities on the problem you mentioned above. You're more than welcome to email me at: irepairidevices2@gmail.com and I'll be glad to quote you a mail in repair price.
