It should. In fact I am surprised that merely replacing the processor did not require re-flashing at a minimum. That is actually good news. though of course they can change it with the next firmware upgrade. We have not worked much on Sony main boards partially because we've encountered their extreme effort to make them practically impossible to repair without their blessing - a common trend in the high-tech business in general, but Sony being the lead example in the TV repair business.

Smart apps seem to still work. This is a 850D which is 2016 model. The 900E series which is the 2017 model unfortunately you can't do this with. As Bobby from Coppell mentioned you would need to reflash the processor itself in order for it to work properly with the board. Not the EMMC, but the processor itself has firmware on it that will need programming. If you don't do this, some functionality will be lost such as the HDMI ports won't appear as usable. Some of the newer Sony mainboards are harder to work with and we have been having some troubles. But I am sure in time we will figure out a work around.

@@NicksTVRepair As Sony, Nintendo and especially Apple history reveal in a very solid pattern while it is *eventually* possible to find hacks into the system for the sake of repairing it, the plain simple truth is the OEMs have the upper hand and they can encrypt and lock it all the way to making such hacks and repairs impractical for the main stream.

We don't have parts for sale but we do fix all types of circuit boards including the power supply and mainboard for your model TV. The board could look heat stressed and be defective, however, it could also be fully functional and the fault most likely will be with the mainboard. Based on experience and fixing hundreds of these there is a 99% chance the fault is with the mainboard. The only way to know for sure would be to do live voltage checks. If you are unable to do so, you can send in both your power supply and mainbaord to our shop for diagnostics and repair. Most are china, some are USA. I try to go USA when I can, and I will typically go through Mouser, digikey, or Arrow, but if I can't source from them, then unfortunately china is the only other option.
