Great video, de 6600 is a great Camera, I always use it with mij A9II. The 6600 with the 70-350MM G and the 70-135mm with the 10-18mm, is just great. You have just all together in a top quality and all is very light. I will sell my 100-400GM and my 200-600mm I thing I will keep my 400GM and my be my A9 and will get myself a second 6600.
That is the advantage of using an APS-C crop body. Then, you pair it up with a long prime such as a 600mm f/4, you can still use a TC with great results than zooms. The result is maximum reach with impressive detail. With the 2x TC, he could effectively shoot at 1800mm. And the beauty of it? The A6600 only costs just over US$1K. LOL.
@@aaronb383 I think you're right Aaron. Big difference between a horse eye and a bird eye. Did I hear that the new a1 has "bird" eye detection? So it would be human, animal, and bird eye focus.
@@aaronb383 I know it looks like an amazing camera but probably more than I need. I primarily photograph backyard birds and will occasionally venture out to a lake or refuge but not sure I could justify the $6500 price tag for an occasional duck photo.
@@ScottPrincePhotography I photograph osprey with my A6600 and it works great. I would of course love to have all the features of the A1 for my bird photography, but I can’t justify the price tag. Not only the body. But you would have to pair the A1 with nice expensive glass too. I am hoping that Sony will trickle down some of the advanced features of the A1 to the ASP-C lineup, as they did with the A9 and the A6600. This may justify an upgrade to the new flagship A6xxx camera whenever it is release.
Question from a newbie: I want to create bird videos similar to this youtube video ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xbs7FT7dXYc.html ) in which the camera is on a tripod recording birds at they land on a food source or bird feeder then fly away. Do you think the Sony a6600 is an excellent camera for this project or should I buy something like the Sony A7Siii which is much more expensive. I am considering using the Sony 16-55 F2.8 G for the lens. Do you think this lens is a good choice ? I would appreciate any input, advice or suggestions. Thank you very much.
