Slightly disappointing that the panorama function has been dropped from A6700. That was a fun and convenient mode on the older models. Keep the great A6700 content coming!
This is great, thanks for sharing! I am really happy with the new menus and especially being able to access menu items via the touch screen. Will enjoy setting up functions and settings.
Thanks again for your A6700 tutorials, they are such a great help. Do you know of any way to have the focus peaking in manual mode only like it was on the A6600. Also, is there a AF/MF button on this camera, I was always using that on the A6600. Cheers!
I’m thinking about whether to get the A6700 or the A7IV. What holds me back from the A7IV is that I have quite a few lenses that are APS-C. Do you think I should take a big step and switch to the A7IV, or since I have more APS-C lenses, should I stick to the APS-C line and go for the A6700?
I have both these cameras and It was a dilemma that I faced some years back- go full frame or stay APSC. If you go with the a6700 you will always be questioning your decision and have the nagging in your mind of "I should have gone for the Sony Full Frame" . In truth no one would be able to tell the difference in image quality between the A7iv and A6700. Having both I can quiet happily say that I use the Sony a6700 more, maybe because of its size, easier to use, more compact. But normally, if I am on a paid job, I will take the Sony A7iv simply because it looks more of a capable pro camera*. (*Shameful I know, but that is the truth, clients don't want to see me rocking up with what they interrupt as a small cheap compact camera ). If you go for the Sony a7iv you know you have the "best" so to speak so you will no longer doubt yourself. If you can afford the 7iv go for that and use the apsc lens on it until such time as you can get full frame glass. Dam its a tough decision though as I love my a6700!
Thanks Camera Man, I have learned so much from your A6700 videos, many topics that other reviewers don't cover. For example changing the FN menu. It appears however that not all the camera functions can be added. For example I can't seem to find a way to add Monitor Brightness, which would be handy to easily switch to Sunny Weather when needed. Can you confirm this? Thanks
Its good that Focus peeking is available for video with AF as well. But my concern is- can we have an option only make it available when we use it to MF, just like older apsc models? I think NO, now we need to turn off focus peeking everytime we do video. I used to keep focus peeking turned on for my a6400, and use it when I switch to MF while doing macro.
I have the a6500 and into Al round photography with wildlife and some sports. Am looking to upgrade to a a6700 or a7iv. If I go for full frame I need to get new lenses or get the 6700 and get the 200-600. Was told the a7iv not great for wildlife and sports because of the crop
I have both the Sony a6700 and the Sony a7iv. Both are excellent, if you get the Sony a6700 check out the 70-350mm Sony Lens. which is awesome for wildlife and sport. If you get the A7iv which is full frame you will need the 200-600mm, or sigma do a 150-600mm.
@@davidhum1039 The Sony A7iv is full frame, no crop factor. The Sony a6700 has a crop factor compared to full frame. USing a full frame lens on a crop sensor (sony a6700) is perfect.
Please someone help 😩 Every time I record a video it all looks good, then when I’ve finished recording, it automatically inverts it, then I have to upload it to my laptop to then flip it again! How do I stop this happening?
Frustrating is the Dial Memory 1-3 buttons as they do not save All customised camera settings. Instead I have to use MENU → (Setup) → [Reset/Save Settings] → [Save/Load Settings] → desired item. When you reload the saved setting profile it reboots. Why in 2023 can we not have all settings including advanced ones saved to the Memory dial location ? Example photographing Pets vs humans. If you use advanced features like say configuring tracking response etc. it's time consuming to change them every time you switch without using a setup settings profile.
