Thank you Bob. Guess I need to watch this video a few times for me to grasp this feature. If the rectangle indicating the area to track was reduced would it reduce the "studdering" skepsys is referring to or make it more prominent? I do not know. I have to agree with skepsys after watching and paying more attention to detail. Almost like a buffering lag. First time I observed the video I missed it entirely. Do appreciate you sharing the feature.
Can you test pls if the auto framing does work in vertical mode? I've seen a guy with a ZV-E1, he thought it wouldn't work, but then he just turned the camera in vertical mode (menus are now switching on sony) and actually it worked! I've found nothing on the web regarding vertical auto framing on the a6700, but this is a very important factor for me because i shoot vertical videos a lot, thank you in advance!
regarding this feature, there's something in the look of the motion of the frame that i don't like. in some videos i saw, it was really obvious. like a stuttering of the image, as it moves the frame. it doesnt look good, imo. maybe for small movements it would be fine...
I agree, even my new DJI Pocket 3 does it sometimes. Where I think it has its uses is for giving the illusion of 2 cameras and you are filming a static interview, but I would not use it on a regular basis. You do obviously need an external recorder to do this.
