HI mister Josh, I find you on RU-vid. Having upgraded from my Sony a 6400 I will learn new things. Special the VIDEO has my deep interest., My hobby is Wildlife, especially BIF. , also MACRO. You have taught me a lot, and Tomorrow I go for the first time out of my home. Because we have had Thunderstorm and Rain. Greetings from me from Thailand. 🌱🪴🌲🌳🌴
Can you recommend a budget monitor that mounts to the hot shoe of a6700 that we can turn around and use while vlogging? Just want something bigger than the flip out viewfinder - thank you!
hey Josh, please prioritize next comparison video to hghlight pros/cons between this a6700 and the new Burano 😆 prob not a big difference, but you've got a keen eye for these things! 🙃
Subscribed and thumbs up! I am watching a lot of your content as I recently purchased the a6700! I have an issue though, when using SLOG3 (moreso at 1080p) with 10bit 4:2:2 in that it is INCREDIBLY noisy even when I expose correctly using a grey card (with Zebras set to 41%). Is this normal? Is this why everyone says you have to overexpose SLOG by 1.7-2 stops?
Thanks for the support! I do not use the exposure number in the camera. Here is how I expose and grade Slog3 in a few situations: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z4Ic19eP36Y.html
Wait, so the a6700 doesn't have ANY in-camera noise reduction settings? That is a definite bummer! The a6600 allowed for Multi-Frame Noise Reduction from within the camera if I'm not mistaken
This might be a naive question but here goes: for Slog3 I have zebras set to 94+. I also have the s709 lut embedded. Will the zebras work the same regardless of whether I'm using gamma display assist imbedded lut or nothing at all? Thanks. I enjoy your tutorials
@@steveloudon7491 I don't use zebras to expose the way you are. There might be different levels for clipping in Slog3 and with the display LUT turned on. Since I don't expose that way I don't know those values. I only use zebras for exposing middle gray. If you'd like to learn more about exposing and grading Slog3, please check out this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z4Ic19eP36Y.html
my a6700 sometimes when I have press the sutter button the viewfinder turns off, then I need to open the LCD or turn off - on to make it turn on again, what could be happening?, I read that when it gets too hot it turns off but I dont think it might be the case...
Your custom modes are set up to not be in manual exposure mode. Set up everything you want the custom mode to be and then assign it to that custom mode.
