My A7RII shutter started to sound more high pitched kinda like metallic since yesterday. I use it actively for portrait and street photos. It is a 2. hand with very low shutter nr. It's still working and i love the colors. But that sound makes me nervous. I hope it's not a big deal.
I looked up on RU-vid and it said to turn it upside down and knock it against the plalm of my hand. It seem to work , but I don't know how long this will hold up , could you please let me know what I should do to fix this issue should it happen again.
My shutter in Sony a7iii have on counter 755286 times just checked right now, and it’s still works but sometimes I have this error when camera asking turn off camera, and then it’s works normal, but I noticed I have more and more often this error
I think part of the problem is that Sony don't make cameras they make consumer electronics that happen to take pictures. That's why they cram so many settings and menus into them that 99% of photographers don't use. I've a 40yo Nikon FM that still does the same thing it did 40 years ago, take photographs! I think it's fair to assume that in 40 years time most Sony's will be in landfill. I've a Sony a7 that only has a couple of thousand actuations and it's already beginning to behave weird, so anything important I want to take now I take on film.
Mine started failing around 4,500 exposures for one my first was screwed out of box figured that was a fluke but the second had me switch back to Nikon.
Hey guys. I got a little problem with my Sony a7siii shutter door won't close when powering off the camera. I had this camera for about 6 months. Have anyone else had the same issue? What to do?
Has there been any update on this? I was looking at switching to the Sony ecosystem, with the A7III in particular being my first, but this has really turned me off.
@@camerazone_ been buying cameras since a long time. None of my cameras from Sony last as compared to Canon and Nikon. Sony should concentrate on TVs and BT speakers. xD.. also 1 example? read the law suit dude :p
Horizontal yellow banding effects may be recorded on images shot under fluorescent, sodium-vapor, mercury-vapor, or incandescent lighting. These effects are called flicker. You may be able to reduce flicker by adjusting the following camera settings: Adjust the shutter speed. Set the shutter speed to 1/50 in regions where the power supply frequency is 50 cycles per second (Hz), and *1/60 in regions where the power supply is 60 Hz. *If available, adjust the e-Front Curtain Shutter, select OFF. *If you can set the Shutter Type, select Mechanical Shut. *Set the Anti-flicker Shoot function to ON.
11 ERRORES Y PASOS ATRAS DE LA SONY A7III respecto a SONY A99 Y OTRAS El problema principal de la A7III no es solamente el obturador, sino que el balance de blancos automático y color es delirante en ocasiones, hace cosas rarísimas y a veces es muy complicado conseguir colores bonitos. Te comentamos nuestra experiencia. Nosotros llevamos 15 años con Sony. Desde la A900 y luego A99 y 99II. Auténticas maravillassss. Pero de repente. Han venido con esta novedad y han hecho lo siguiente. Venden como novedades características de la A99 desde hace muchos años y han bajado la calidad bruscamente quitando características muy interesantes. Comento en que se diferencia por ejemplo la Sony Alpha 99 respecto a la Sony A7III. Cambian la montura A mount compatible con objetivos Minolta que es más ancha y puede tener más posibilidades. Cambian también las baterías de la serie A mount sin más motivo que el de maltratar a todos los usuarios de Sony que ya no les sirven, pero empecemos con lo realmente importante. Han reseteado la calidad y si hubieran hecho una A99III de espejo traslucido por sin espejo habría sido increible. Pero han bajado calidad y prestaciones y han restando calidad en estos aspectos. Diferencias entre Sony A99 y Sony A7III 1. Con la A99 el BALANCE DE BLANCO Y COLOR son espectaculares, en cambio, EN LA A7III NOS DAN MUCHOS PROBLEMAS tanto para fotos como para video. Hacer cualquier trabajo cuesta muchísimo más. Fotos en mismas condiciones de luz salen con diferentes tonos, colores... algo que no pasa ni con la A99 ni otras marcas de compañeros que se han vuelto a las cámaras que utilizaban anteriormente porque les cuesta muchísimo trabajar el color. 2. Además han quitado la PANTALLA DESPLEGABLE 360º de la A99 (una auténtica maravilla, la única pantalla actualmente desplegable de verdad del mercado). Se puede hacer fotos desde cualquier punto moviéndose verticalmente 180 grados y girando sobre si misma 360ª, lo que quieras. Pues bien, la han quitado y le han puesto a la A7III un desplegable que solamente se despliega un poquito separándose de la cámara. Algo insuficiente en nuestra opinión. Seguramente vendrán en dos años con el gran descubrimiento de la pantalla abatible 360 que llevara 15 años en uso y eliminaron de su actualización de la serie A mount a la serie E mount, pero lanzaran con una gran campaña de publicidad anunciándolo a bombo y platillo. 3. La CALIDAD DEL MICRÓFONO de la A99 o cualquiera de la serie A mount es muy superior a la de la A7III. Hasta la más barata de la serie A tiene mejor sonido. 4. La A99 tiene un grip con una conexión que no hace falta ni quitar tapitas ni nada y puedes utilizar con 3 baterías simultáneamente. El CARGADOR que venia en las cámaras que era buenísimo y no había que comprarlo. Ahora en la A7III tienes que QUITAR LA TAPITA PARA CONECTAR EMPUÑADURA Y SIN CARGADOR . La tapas de la A99 se pulsan las pestañas y se abre y cierra con presionar, algo que en la a7III también lo han quitado. 5. Han eliminado el BOTÓN DE AMPLIACION RECORTE de la A99 X1.4 Y X2 que es super útil. Con un solo clic pasabas a x1.4, otro click a x2 y otro click a original. Algo super útil para trabajar de forma rápida. Ahora en la A7III tienes una rueda de amplificación complicado y nada directo como lo que es un acceso de botón directo que se utilizaba muchísimo para recortar con click directos mientras se utilizaba. En la A7III, no se puede configurar un botón para que pase a x1.4 x2. Otro paso atrás 6. Han eliminado el MODO PANORÁMICO de la A99. Muy útil para hacer panorámicas de paisajes de forma automática. Pues bien, la A7III no lo tiene. 7. La A99 tiene una EMPUÑADURA muy ergonómica y cómoda. La han cambiado por una empuñadura mas pequeña e incomoda de la A7III. De que sirve reducir unos gramos para quitar la empuñadura, si luego siguen haciendo objetivos que pesadísimos en lugar de hacer objetivos más ligeros y manejables. Un sinsentido. Acabo con a mano destrozada, algo que no sucede con la A99. 8. Han cambiado los SESORES DE ACERCAMIENDO DE OJO AL VISOR de la A99. Esto que implica, que en la A7III haces fotos con mascarilla y si se te empaña el visor, se apaga la pantalla y no ves por el visor y se apaga la pantalla. Un gran error. Tienes que andar cambiando de visor a pantalla o poner las dos activos todo el rato. Otro paso más atrás respecto a la A99. 9. MENÚS DE INFARTO. Para encontrar cualquier tontería en los menús es complicadísimo. Creo que están mal organizados y son muy poco intuitivos. 10. En la A99 el punto de enfoque era VERDE para que se distinga bien en la pantalla. En la A7III lo ponen gris y no haya ser humano que vea donde esta en punto del enfoque. PUNTO DE ENFOQUE COLOR GRIS???? 11. AL DISPARAR NO SIEMPRE DISPARA. En trabajos de deportes o momentos en los que hay que disparar si o si, pero al mismo tiempo no se quiere disparar en ráfaga. Si disparas de forma continua, el disparo es errático. No siempre dispara, algo que por ejemplo para deportes, te pierdes gran parte de los participantes o momentos y te obliga a disparar en ráfaga, generando una cantidad de fotos innecesarias impresionante. Conclusión, tengo la sensación de que en muchos aspectos, vamos para atrás. Resetean todas las cosas buenas que tienen sus modelos A mount y empiezan de cero maltratando al usuario. Una pena haber confiado en la marca durante tantos años. Un abrazo compañeros y enhorabuena por vuestro trabajo!
Hola, estoy teniendo muchos problemas con mi A7iii despues de 6 años. Creo que el obturador esta andando mal porque precisamente esta mañana tuve una sesión de fotos en estudio y no pude continuar porque en las fotos se ve parte de la foto oscura caracteristica tipica de cuando el shutter es demasiado veloz, la cosa rara es que lo tenía a solo 1/100-1/125. Otra cosa que queria saber es si han conseguido resolver el problema del balance del blanco, porque es un delirio para mi. No se si hay un parametro que necesita ser ajustado. Muchas gracias
I have a Sony A7III and have the same shutter issue after doing the firmware upgrade to version 4. Camera was sitting for a few months with no use. Picked it up and suddenly shutter kept clicking like crazy with error. I've had camera sit over six months on older firmware with no issue. Does anyone know if I can go back to old firmware?
Just yesterday I took it to the service with shutter problems… it’s not working properly… if you set it to 1/2000 you can hear the shutter is not working with the speed you selected and you can also see it on the pictures… I’m jus over 13k with it…. I don’t know what is going but it’s not ok for a pro gear to act like that…
Happened to me today on Sony A6700, probably will have to fix it on my own. Just bought it and turned out defective. I cannot send it for repair since I bought it from foreign country. Cannot believe it happened in less than 300 photos in my case.
@@camerazone_ Yes and they won't even help me! Adorama by the way is where I bought it! 3 months past their one year warranty...I had 4 foot surgeries since I got that camera hence the low picture taking...its in mint condition! Never been dropped and not a scratch on it! Meanwhile my D5300 Nikon my late twin sister gave me is going strong? No shutter issue and I mean hundreds of thousands of pictures later.....only issue after 6 years was a button that stuck...paid $75 and Nikon restored it beautifully replacing all kinds of little parts and grips! Well Sony could care less and won't help with this A7III despite calls and chat conversations also.
FYI -- this is not a class action lawsuit---this is a complaint in the hopes it will lead to a lawsuit. In reality? Probably not. Considering the sheer number of units sold, a handful are likely to fail, unfortunately.
Yes, some people have an issue but NOTHING is perfect. If anyone makes a product, eventually a few of those products will go bad AND there are SO MANY factors that can lead to a problem. I have logged hundreds of thousands of shots across most of the Sony Alpha series bodies for 10 years and if the body is abused or mistreated there's potential for issues. Dust??? If course dust can collect inside and cause issues. Taking a lens off and on in dusty conditions will lead to that. Operating in extreme weather will also be an issue. Sony can't predict how their products are used and can make suggestions or provide warnings but the purchaser has final control over how it's used.
@@Zebrajellyfishphoto this issue appear only in sony, and the count still raising. mine shutter button starting error, it's often get double exposure event i'm not in burst mode (single mode or no bracketing), also phenomenon ghost flare get into frame if you shoot backlight with source light position just outside the framing (the phenomenon just like cloud white in the edge of frame). what a mess whit this product.. i'm canon and nikon user for 12 years old, camera lovers, had 3 analog 1 FTB, 2 Zenith. and analog EF camera canon eos 5, they are all fine except my sony, fact sad
@@andrearmanrisa this happens on many cameras. Buttons get dirty contacts. I had an issue with the dials and the shutter button on my Lumix camera and got the shutter button issue on the Sony. The fix in both cases (though I didn't fix the Sony yet as it is very rare and doesn't bother me...yet. is to remove the lense and put the sensor cap on to protect it, then tilt the camera so that the buttons are facing down at an angle from the sensor and spray contact cleaners in there while operating the dial or button in question. My Lumix got completely fixed after applying this fix twice. Actually I didn't even use a contact cleaners, I used a bike chain cleaner which is a mix of alcohol and acetone and very effective at removing grime. Don't get the stuff on the sensor and don't go overboard with the spraying. A small amount is enough. After that leave the camera to dry for half an hour and it should be good to go. If not repeat the steps. As for the flaring and ghosting I get that on some of my vintage lenses that don't have multi coating. But I don't notice any pattern that is related to the sensor. You probably have more camera experience than me so I won't even ask if the sensor is dirty and assume it could be a defect? If you're under warranty I'd get it checked. Btw not really a fan of Sony. I hate the feel of the camera. My cheap MFT Lumix feels like a luxury product in terms of durability and feel compared to my A7III. But it works so far without a problem so I'm keeping it.
This happened last night, trying to find info, nice to know I'm not alone but I am pretty pissed. Especially since sony is denying this and not repairing it on their dollar.
