Sony Alpha a6000 

Love these product videos. This is why B&H sells a lot of cameras.

The a6000 will be perfect with 180° screen and 4K video. I'm waiting for the next generation! Hopefully Sony will add those features and create the perfect travellers camera.

Thank you for this video..I've been researching the a5000/a5100 and had trouble deciding between the two, as soon as I watched this video I realized the 6000 is a better suit for me. The additional pro/enthusiast features such as adding an external Mic input or flash make a difference for me in terms of growing with the camera. Having to post the audio in seems like a step that can be avoided for simplicity, and the electronic viewfinder should work well for shooting outdoors in sunlight. I feel better about finalizing my decision now thanks to your videos

Back in March 2008 I purchased the Sony A350 with the $900 Sony Zeiss DT16-80, (16-80mm) lens. As that system has aged out, I recently purchased the SLTA58 body because the Sony lens adapter for my lens to the A6000 is over $300 whereas the SLT body matched the $900 lens. The SLT is a predecessor to mirrorless so its systems are not as refined as the A6000. Besides the lens adapter situation I am worried about Sony product durability. My Sony camera bodies seem like toys compared to the metal bodies of Nikons and Canons. I own a Canon 40D and used the Nikon D800 for two years. Finally, there is buffer size. The high or medium shutter rate on my SLT body is not effective because the camera's internal buffer memory fills up fast. At that point the shutter stops working. If I had the ear of camera design engineers I would ask first for more buffer memory. I have used Sony cameras all the way back to the models that wrote to DVDs and the "camera stopping while writing to memory" frustration started then and continues to this day. No one talks about the quality of Sony brand lenses. If it's not a Zeiss I am totally uninformed about Sony brand lens sharpness, etc. I am puzzled because many other lens companies are reviewed. I am a hobby photographer so seeing you pull out one thousand dollar lens after another thousand dollar lens does me no good.

I've been looking at this camera to replace an older Sony camcorder. I would use it almost entirely for video purposes, and am wondering if this, or the a5100 is the better option? I understand they are very similar, but the a5100 has the XAVC S video format which allows for 50Mbps recording, while the a6000 has a viewfinder. I'm unsure which of these features is worth more for video. Also, is it possible to attach a Rode Videomic Pro to either of these cameras? Thanks.

I take night club photo with no external flash. Do you think the high iso performance is good enough? If I have the money the A7s would be my choice but I don't have that extra money. Would the A6000 still be good enough?
