Another blu ray player review where all we see is playing around with the home screen and apps. Why will nobody show a disc loading up and navigating the DVD or blu ray menu? If I want to see apps I'll watch a Roku review!
@@EvapilotsGeekCorner To see how it looks loading a disc and navigating the menu, just like you are doing with all the apps you are scrolling by. Since the main function of the player is to play discs (apps are a bonus) it would be nice to see how it behaves with a disc in there, that's all.
I got this for my grandma and aunt who lives with her. Only $90 bucks. Got them a $300 tv as well. They only really watch DVDs and cable. So it was essential that I get something to play physical media since she doesn’t use streaming services. Now she can enjoy HD blu ray.
Does this player still have the Spotify connect app on it? Do you know if it has Digital Legato Linear? I see it can play Super Audio CD too so it may have that feature.
I just ordered BDP -S3700 cheap for an open box off eBay. But maybe i should’ve got this model for the about the same price. They sell for a lot less since these are about 7 to 8 years old now.
i've got one i bought in '16. it does a pretty good job, i think. dvds/blu rays look great. even after i upgraded to the ubp-x700 a couple months ago, i put this player in the bedroom.
Thanks for the review. Is it possible to turn off the 4K Up-scaling if you don't want it on all the time? Also, if I connect it to my 1080p TV instead will it still work?
Thank u sir! I bought one at Walmart cause I thought it was a cheaper alternative and once I tried to play a 4K movie. it said na lol just came on here to make sure so I can return it and put that towards a actual 4K player
I have a blaupunkt led TV 1080p, and I am planning to buy this blu ray player. So will the blu ray player upscale the picture to 4K or will it stay in 1080p? And also is this blu ray region free?
can I use my surround sound with this? If I have a seperate surround sound running through a digitial optical on my tv to my sound system can my bluray transmit the sound through it?
Mine wont play SACD shows it playing but no sound yet plays normal CDs and DVDs, tried getting in touch with Sony just send round in circles with FAQs then when you get to a chat no one is available same as by phone. I tried sending a message direct then it said my phone number was unrecognised etc etc I am thinking of selling this piece of junk and getting a dedicated SACD player
I wish I could help with the problem. I tried to look up anything that might be useful, but all I can find from Sony is - " Super Audio CD (SACD) discs are not supported for playback. However, the Blu-ray Disc® player can play the CD layer of the hybrid disc."
Not much of a review didn't sgow us how disc load how pic looks from DVD to bluray .this is more of a hey guys look at my new player with all these apps .
Well...If you purchased it at a retail store like I did, then no. But you can find it online like Amazon where someone has unlocked the region on it. Hope that helps.
