The majority of consumers don't take advantage of that. I unfortunately am one of those that do, hell I have to swap hdmi ports between my Switch and 4k blu ray player. I regret going from LG to Sony because lg gave me 4 hdmi 2.1 ports and for gaming lg was always better

Did you take advantage of the multiple HDMI ports on the A7000 or just sharing want you've learned from the spec sheets on websites? Just curious 😉 Larry

@@LARRYfromSONY 1 eArc, 1 for my piano and 1 for my vinyl player and I use chromecast cuz I don't use iphone. Also what's wrong with reading the spec sheet? Less features is less features no matter how you look at it. Not to mention not everyone uses iphone

@@junruihe8647 I hear you and as you can imagine I'm all about Team Android with my Xperia phone lol...and based on your usage I totally get the need for multiple HDMI but you've got to admit you're a very unique situation (in an awesome way I might add). Spec sheets are great but I caution people to not compare price based on a spec sheet. Humor my dumb analogy. It's like assuming that a V6 car should not be more expensive than a V8 car because it has 2 less engine cylinders. When actually there are V6 cars that totally outperform some V8 because of other engineering advancements. Hopefully you get me and know I do get your points as well. Thanks for replying to me. @@LARRYfromSONY Thanks for the mature, calm discussion, that's rare these days. And yea I guess my case might be a bit unique but a lot of people connect their apple TV/fire stick to the bar these days, so that 1 extra HDMI will still be really useful for whatever they might wanna add. Add gaming consoles in the mix and now you're starved for ports. (TVs don't got much ports either it seems). But yes you definitely have a point, now we just gotta wait to see how the Bar 9 compare to the HT-A7000's sound, can't wait for reviews to come

I'm honestly not sure. This question had come up and to the point I can't say for certain either way. I do know that experience is what's gained when moving up to the STR-AN100 receiver. Great question!

Thanks for the question. These are 2 independent systems. The Quad is far more than just 4 wireless speaker units. Larry

Can't discuss other brands of course but if I could I would say in most cases when we're talking about consumer electronics... You get what you pay for. I'm sure there's testing that outlines the different audio performances of sound products beyond only judging price. I'm sure there's a $50 soundbar somewhere but it won't be in my home 😉 Thanks

Reason why I'm just gonna get the A7000 & had two HDMI inputs.

It does not support Chromecast as you noticed (I love the attention to detail) but please allow me to do some testing and I will follow up with you. Larry

@@johnszatkowski6898 If you only knew the level of testing I do with respect to all products. Not singleing out any specific brand. It still surprises me the number of TV brands that don't support Dolby Vision and the number of audio products that don't support Dolby Atmos or dts:X... Not pointing fingers but as far as a Theater Bar or Theater Sound product goes... I'm feeling pretty confident. But as I say that I also will say this... Sound is subjective and I can't tell you that you'll love what I love and vice versa. That's why I always ask if people are comparing what they've actually heard or are they passionate about what they're accustomed to. I'm good either way my friend. Thanks for replying to me. Larry

There's is not. Actual displays have been considered a distraction considering how close most sound bars are to TVs. This bar settings can be changed on the Sony BRAVIA TV quick settings menu or on your phone via the BRAVIA Connect app. I mean we live with our phones attached to our hands anyway right lol? Larry

Despite any product material composition... That will always be the smallest factor in price. Take a close look at what's under the hood. Our choices of exterior materials will always be lead first by our commitment to the environment. Hopefully that can earn us some bonus points with you. I respect your comment my friend. @@8020Alive lg ,samsung and jbl have surround speakers that not only have a speaker for surround but also one upfiring speaker .Sony doesn't. However jbl has other issues. Though it has upfiring and surround in the surround speakers. Its not connected to power outlet but runs on battery. Which with time will die just like every other electronics that run by battery. What's more sad is that u can't even replace it.

@@LARRYfromSONY I try at Sony shop the theater bar vocal sounds feel like coming from the left and hta 9 vocal sounds in the center. that a already a disappointment.

@@Sky-8646 that's very strange to be honest. The Bar 9 and Bar 8 have a single focused center speaker for vocals. It's virtually impossible for it to not be placed center unless the content had a problem. Hopefully you can take my word for it. I'll be moving my HT A9 to another room and replacing it with the Bar 9 🤜🤛

Price is relative to budget and value my friend. There's soneone in the world looking at this as a great deal. We gotta be careful to make these proclamations without even hearing it. ​​@@LARRYfromSONYnot all TVs have this built in yet as some may still use the old tvs. Also would be handy to use google home from the phone straight to the bar instead of through the TV especially if the tv doesn't support Google home. No Alex's support either. No remote control either. 1 less Hdmi port compared to previous gen. Everything just seems like Sony is cutting corners with essential features. I don't think voice zoom 3 and side firing speakers are enough to warrant paying £300 more than the Hta7000 which has more features than this. This Sony model is supposed to expand not reduce and replace features. Same reason I'm sticking to my HTA9 system instead of the Theatre Quad which again is a massive downgrade in features, looks and materials.
