A few months ago everyone called me a tinfoil hat for saying that Sony would go full third party like Microsoft. Every game will go everywhere and I think developers will stop taking money for exclusive rights pretty soon when they figure out how much money they loose by doing that.

Microsoft isn't full third-party. There are no plans of all goes to PS other than in PS fanboys minds wishing the whole catalog is coming to PS It is nonsense to think otherwise. I do believe Sony will follow Microsoft not just with PCs but content on Xbox and Nintendo as well but again it won't be an all goes to these platforms case either. Even if we count PC, it is still Windows as the platform we are referring to and not Linux or Mac PC's. Windows is an Micrsoft platform and games on their own platform is not third-party just not exclusive to their other platform Xbox or their other platform Xcloud. Microsoft controls Windows and where the OS features and functions head and no one else has that control. Everyone else reacts to what Microsoft does with Windows not the other way around.

@@psykorobot6807Sony has already ported most of their most sold/played games to PC and many more are going on the market nowadays, they are also porting all the live service games to PC, so yeah, they are full third party. Microsoft has ported lots of games to ps already and cod (most sold/played on ps) is going there every year. Sony and Microsoft might keep their main first party games like GT7, Halo, GOW, Forza and so on for a few more years, but they are getting desperate now, so think they will go everywhere soon too. MAC is completely useless for gaming and Linux is very niche and pretty much only used on servers and those displays on airports, trains, buses and so on.

@psykorobot6807 Microsoft is systematically porting everything to ps and Sony already have ported most of their "exclusives" to PC and the rest is under porting process now, it just takes time. Mac is worthless for gaming and Linux is very niche, pretty much only used on servers and those displays on airports, trains etc.

It goes farther back then that. Ponies said putting your games on PC makes your platform irrelevant. Everything xbots said when all this happened to them, ponies are now saying. Like, this means Sony makes more money for more games, who cares the game came out over a year ago, and so on. Honestly, both systems died when they started putting their games on PC. No need to own a xbox or PS when you can buy the games on PC.

Then Microsoft gives games to Sony to find their studios... But that gives players less incentives to buy the Xbox this giving dev less incentives to develop for Xbox and then less games on Xbox, less dev again more less games... Comparing phones to consoles is two different things bc most people who spend that much money don’t even truly know what they’re getting and they’re getting it bc it’s “new”. People are complaining about Sony bc it’s supposed to be a “mid gen refresh” when in reality you’re paying damn near $800 for the same shit, but without some parts and no exclusives to show for it. And people are upset bc people buying into this means Sony is gonna see this as ok and keep raising the price on everything included bc they want your money. it’s nothing compared to idiots buying expensive ass phones. And it’s especially worse when they tryna claim it’s on par with a pc when it’s not at all in any sense. just bc idiots buy expensive bricks doesn’t mean normalizing almost doubling the price for the same console with a different name on it. Sony probably consulted EA's sports games division. They are the ones selling the SAME games and adding clever marketing wording without adding anything of note in the way of improvements. They've done well...mostly due to cult-like support for their sports games. The PS5 pro will be just fine. Ponies are still under a spell that's more like a gaming equivalent of Stockholm Syndrome...for YEARS. Nothing to write home about here - I'll stick to the base model. Much as I don't fully agree that the Xbox is at fault for this...I must concede that sitting on their hands hasn't done this gen any favours(nor the last TWO). Much shrewd, robust and fierce competition is needed. Yes, I'm aware that MS could be restricted by 'regulators'. And so this nice-guy BENDING OVER persona may be the smart play.

@@dementedspirit1359 Why wouldn't it be? Now that the hardware isn't sold at a loss anymore, the only thing that would entice people to buy a PS5 Pro are the PlayStation exclusives. It should be their number 1 goal, having more 1st party IPs on their platform to bring in as many people in their ecosystem. The lack of games is why this generation is failing so hard.
