I got out for the first time with the Sony F828. What a joy it was to see colors it produced, but quite the slow camera this old thing is haha.
This 18 year old bridge camera has a unique "RGBE" Sony built 2/3 inch CCD sensor. The resolution is about eight megapixels, and the file size is very digestible for virtually any current computer. Images are sharp and would look just fine for the web and small prints.
The colors are very true to the scene, but if one chooses to post produce, the .SRF, TIFF, and even .jpg are correctable!
The Sony F828 can be found in the ballpark of 100 to 200 USD (prices can very erratically due to the style of camera and age, even more than DSLR's.
