Sony FX 30 vs a7c Camera review 

There was a lot of RU-vid hype for the FX30. I'm keeping the a7c! Thx for the comment?

I love the a7c - it fits my needs and I will stay with it - excited to see what the a7cii !!

Same for me. A7c i am. 10 bits is overhyped. And a7c has very good 8 bits. With Davinci Resolve 18 we can work on wide colorspace and the color and gradient are always very nice. Hlg3 with BT2020 gives good result. And standard picture profile is very good for most footage. A7c have also better low light noise performance than recent camera. 24 mp full frame sensor is just the right size for good pixel sensor size. At Dpreview we can compare photo from different camera and a7c is better than a7iv in low light condition high iso. Same for video. A7iv has better autofocus in low light but a7c has less noise.

yeah - its hard to compare - I like the full frame sensor and would rather invest in full lens than apsc lens and sensor!

@@OliverWiehe indeed i went with a7c and friend purchased sigma 85 1.4 i had it for a while and its amasing combo but focus distance bothered me a bit and i went with sigma 105 2.8 macro i cant be happier with this combo camera is amazing and lens is just way too good when you consider how versatile it is and for that price ? wow

@@OliverWiehe might be a long shot but you can try using instagram to promote yt channel when you upload videos to yt create story about something in video and ling yt video to it. ig has promoting tool built in

Agreed & like that you have a smallrig - super cool - what is our favorite lens on the a7c?

@@OliverWiehe personally i chose the Tamron 17-28 f2.8 for the wide lens and the 70-300 f4.5-6.3 for wildlife and landscape on the telephoto lens. Both are sharp and well contrasted and nice color with good autofocus. . I can share my ND 1-9 stops filter. These are very lightweight 420g and 545g. 6 years warranty lenses., solid plastic and weather resistant. No dust well sealed. I wanted the two extreme, one wide and one telephoto so i change lens only when absolutely required for the best scenario. And i keep the 17-28 standard on the camera as it covered most of the shoot i do and fits well in the bag. My bag with all equipment has still very acceptable weight. It feels lightweight. When going hiking in the forest, i would put the 70-300(450 in video) as i can reach birds and other wildlife and Ibis stabilization works great even at 300mm. Photo are always sharp and video are stable. I don’t do motion video but handheld stationary video with it. I have no gimbals. I use gyro data stabilization for few motion video to get gimbal like movement. But most of the time the a7c and the cage 3212 allow me to get good stationary video with little motion.. I try to practice at home the feeling of the camera. Testing the parameters to try to improve my knowledge. Recently i invested into a flash which greatly improve the quality of the photos to get low iso and greater dynamic range usable. But i have Parkinson and doing video is becoming more difficult as my left arm shake a lot and shakes propagate to the right side…it is more difficult now.

I kept my canon camcorder hfs21 for nearly 20 years and it was still not ridiculous today with 1080p24 30 and 60i focus tracking, touch focus on a large widescreen and viewfibder, digital microphone mono/stereo. Even today it would beat the Sony in stabilization..i bought the a7c and sold the camcorder because a7c do everything, except a good stabilization for motion walk video. But i added a smallrig 3212 which add a nice grip and make the camera heavier and improve stabilization. I also use more and more gyro data and shutter speed 1/200 outside for walking Video and use normal 1/50 shutter speed for all other footage. A7c is awesome in photo and lowlight conditions. And it works great with Sony flagship flash hvl-f60rm2 and the cage. Now i have remove the noisy Dring and put the strap directly on the cage. A7c is now perfectly silent and with pro microphone azden smx30 mono stereo (but analogic not digital) i get pro sound recording as well. I use Tamron wide and telephoto fullframe lens and the quality is very very good. Sharp, nice contrast and color. I use K&F ND 1-9 stop variable filter. And use the remote bluetooth for steady shot and video start/stop and autofocus control. A7c is one the best camera hybrid to my opinion. Just bring the best accessories around.
