I can't afford 90% of the products you cover. I don't really understand camera terminology as well as I should. And I don't really have an overwhelming need to get a camera (although it's pretty close). But damn if I don't enjoy you talking about cameras and products. i have the a7sIII and preordered the fx6 ... the reason was, the outputs, timecode, the massive batteries and that clients are happy when there is a bigger camera :D

Needs an audio input option when not using the handle. The only thing making it short of perfect for me (that and a simplified menu system). Hopefully, there is a Gen 2 that corrects this.

1:23 Am I missing the point of that door? What is it covering? EDIT: Figured it out. It covers the edges of the gain knobs. Actually genius, so you can still see where you have them set but blocks them from being accidentally bumped. EDIT EDIT: Yeah I said KNOBS. Deal with it.

I'm used to Sony being contrasty and blueish. This looks almost warm and calm. I love the footage. Compared to the camera used to film you (which looks very Sony) it's a breathe of fresh air. Also; Richmond. You make me jealous, Kai. I want to go to London!

You can see it at 5:08. Sloped top rules out any Sony models, or full-frame Panasonics. Doesn't appear to be a GH5 or anything Fuji, as there's no dial on the top on that side. Could be a Canon, but I'd expect to see the AF assist lamp there, unless there's gaffer tape over it? Not really sure which camera it is, honestly. EDIT: I checked the description, it says it was shot with an EOS R. So much for those Canon colors, eh? 😁

Your lav mic audio is pretty muddy - and bassy, also has problems on higher input - different mic from usual/faulty one? Thanks for the video and your input! Really want the FX6 - let’s see if I can justify it instead of a7s iii

Cool video, great seeing you review the build quality in real time. I think this more of an issue with society, but walking around with an fx6 in a public place, might warrant getting robbed at gunpoint which is my biggest fear. I suppose with that tier of camera having insurance is best.

It sounds like a hell of a camera, especially at that price point. Unfortunately, Sony doesn't seem to understand the importance of good viewfinders. It's where they tend to cut corners. They could have at least included a loupe so you can see the screen in bright sunlight. Even if it's not exactly a Zacuto Gratical, it's better to have one than not. It wouldn't have added much cost. Or, better yet, a real EVF like on the FS5 but of considerably better quality.

I've been telling people for years buy a video camera to record video. DSLRs are made for still photography not recording video. Video cameras are designed to record videos. DSLRs are not. Canon has a great line if video cameras that you should look into.
