The fit of the Linkbuds S (for me at least) makes me think they wouldn't perform too well for sport. While I really like how small and lightweight they are wearing them during a workday, they seem to fall out of my ears gradually when I'm moving. I wish they'd have offered some wingtips or something to hold them in place better like some of the older sport models.

Great review DesFit ! I use iPhone 11, M little stucked with which should i go for Sony wf-c500, Samsung galaxy buds pro under 105$ or is it worth to invest on Airpods pro? Will be majorly using for Running and watching movies sometimes, calls secondary.

Really helpful review, thanks. I'd also considered the more sport's orientated LG tone utf8 which have ipx67 (and case that can plug into a 3.5mm headphone socket, so you can use then easily with gym equipment or other things that don't have Bluetooth, like some gaming consoles etc).i had the Sony wfxm3 which sounded great and had NFC tap to pair. However, they are big and quite heavy and wouldn't stay securely in my ears no matter which earbuds I tried. The smaller link bud s looks like they'd be a more secure fit.

Hi there.. thanx for the great review.... im definitely getting myself a pair. I would like to know, when switching between devices... is it an issue, or the pairing process is simple as turning off bluetooth on one, and connecting.... i had freebuds 4 before, they were very difficult to use on different devices, its like they only wanted one phone

Sony wf-c500 best buds I personally use custom settings for next level sound and bass quality here is my setting -8+2+2+3+5 and clear bass +3

Hi Des, appreciate the comments on wind noise reduction (or lack of, when cycling at higher speeds). I suffer from tinnitus which is aggravated by wind noise so I’m trying to find the best way of dealing with it. By the way, it does make me wonder how pro cyclists get on cycling many hours at much higher speeds, whether they develop hearing loss as a result.

I love my linkbuds, I use them for work in pest control and have used them on a flight and they preform well. I also use AirPod 2nd gens. My only complaint I haven’t been able to figure out is the call quality on the linkbuds, I get a howling like noise when I get a call and during. I’ve messed with all the settings but it still continues. That’s where I tend to use my AirPods more, if anyone has a solution it would be greatly appreciated cause the linkbuds s have been some of the best earbuds I’ve owned so far.

Great video. Love my Xm4s, though they had to be sent for a repair / swap after the right one started getting quiet. God I miss them so much for cycling now.

From what I have understood the "dying issues" are pretty common across all "true wireless" headphones, even the big brands, as in your case.

The security of the Beats Fit Pro are better than these (although these are still good) and the Apple integration is better as well. For sound quality, these are easily better plus they have a customizable EQ. Thanks!

New to the channel. Great review!.. between Beat Fit pro and Linkbuds S, which one would you pick? I have never used earbuds and I'm looking to replace my JBL Live400BT. It will be mainly for workout and biking. I also took a look to the Sony XM4, money is not a concern, however the Linkbuds S looks less bulky. Thank you!

So I bought mine yesterday and already having problems with one of the buds going down draining quickly The right hand one I've reset them a couple of times but with no fix and anybody got any ideas? I have the CF700 no problems with them .

At the moment the xm4s are only like $13 more than the Linkbud S’s… which one would you get?? I like the idea of the linkbuds being smaller because I have small ears.. but wondered if the xm4s were worth risking the larger size issue to benefit from the slightly better audio for such a small price difference?

That’s what I am struggling as well with. Small ears and the price difference is 15 dollars here. I think I lean more towards the linkbuds since they have silicone tips. I had foam tips in the past and they eventually break. And hygiene wise I feel silicone is also better.

@@svenforyt9240 i have small ears and got both the linkbuds and the xm4s to try out. i will keep the xm4s as i am not satisfied with the sound quality on the linkbuds. while it is good, the xm4s are much better. i think i will just get another cheap pair for working out and such, and use the xm4s for home and places where i dont do intense physical exercise

Thanks you. I have tested the linkbuds S. I think the price is really expensive. I'm disappointed for the ANC and the sound. Just the design is the best true wireless for me ! I think the Jabra elite 7 pro is better. So i have buy a Jabra elite 7 activ for play sport for 135euros. I think this is the best value.

wait the xm4 are now only 30 bucks more expensive. Just got the linkbuds S and love them. the xm4 are huge.... is the sound bump worth exchanging the link buds s since they're much closer in price now??

The difference is sound is noticeable to me and probably worth the $30 IMO, but it really comes down to fit since the XM4s are so large.

So far, nothing I have heard about or tried has been able to beat out my Jabra Elite Active 75t earbuds for active use, especially cycling. Even if something does compare, it’s really not enough to truly beat the 75ts, because I already own them, and I would have to buy whatever is replacing them. The quality difference just won’t be worth the cost of switching.

Currently the XM4 is on sale online for around $220 in our region, while the LinkBuds S is at around $185; from a value standpoint, the XM4 is obviously the one to get the way it's priced right now, however they're too big for my ears and I often use TWS while laying in bed, and I think they're too big to lay on my side on a pillow. I hope the LinkBuds S can get its price slashed down to 150 so I can justify the purchase because currently it sits way too close to the XM4 in pricing. Edit: I just got the Linkbuds S for $130 its soooooo worth it I'm loving it right now.

Exacly the same issue, in my country the prices are not that far off, but the issue, comes down to the linkbuds s themselfs and sony, cause they absolutely nailed it with them to such extend that in many ways is considered better or barely below the xm4's, which makes me really think which ones i should go for.

@@marcosneves6146 not to mention, the XM4s are now lagging behind the Linkbuds S in terms of updates. Multi device connectivity JUST got rolled out last week, and Sony is somewhat admitting that their earbuds have battery degradation problems with the Linkbuds S being patched with an update that prolongs battery health by limiting the charge amount so the battery won't degrade as fast as the XM4s like some users are already experiencing through long term use. I'm really glad I picked up the Linkbuds S. Also the XM5 is just around the corner but it'll probably cost around $300 so that's a no go for me.

@@poiXquared yes i was wondering about the updates and so on, another point for the buds... Overall great stuff for the price. And yes while the xm5's are around the corner, at that price point i would just get the 🎧 i want something stealthy comfortable and that doesn't break the bank while giving me amazing features and overall quality, the only big drawback is the lack of wireless charger, I'm gonna get them either way, but if this is a série that will continue, i hope they get it in the next generation. Normally brands overcharge cause of the name and not the other way around, now it only gives me two conclusions either these were made cause they want to bump up the price on the xm5's or they actually went bananas and just wanted to give a really good price/quality product to the consumer, which lets be honest probably ain't it.

They'll push the XM5 to higher prices then a year or 2 later come up with the successor to the Linkbuds S at around the same price but with a 3-5% increase in price. Just so they can slash the price again after 6-10 months 🤣

Yup, they are IPX4 so they were fine. The water just rolls off with that sort of demo. Sweated a lot in them as well and were good to go.

I was wondering how they stack up to the beats fit pro (in my case for running). I was wondering if sound quality is better on linkbuds s. The nice thing about the beats fit pro with apple is you can receive/send texts verbally while performing an activity (they will read imsgs to you). That feature is awesome. However, I do find the fit pro charging case is finicky to get them to charge some times.

I just returned linkbuds, I bought xm3, and it deserves better linkbuds millions of times. I want to throw it into the trash can after few hours. The sound of Linkbuds is very, very bad, although I changed the mode in the Sony app. I recommend xm3 and xm 4. I’ve tried it. It’s too big for my air.

Ive got an iphone 13 pro and I sometimes need to pair the earbud with my HP laptop. I need a comfortable and great fit earbud that has the best mic quality to be used in work calls. I keep on moving. Do i get the airpods pro or airpods 3 or sony linkbuds s?

Heads up the linkbud s feel very cheap for 200 touch controls are bad. I have both the buds and the xm4 it's worth the extra 80. Or buy another headphone at the same price rage.
