I love these Headphones' I feel like I am in a theatre while watching movies. I was using it with the Aux cable but now with a PC with bluetooth its Wireless. Music with Bass is amazing
wow! you do an amazing job of reviewing this product! I've been a little bit skeptical about getting them because of the $200 price point but you made it clear how good they are, unlike some other reviews that I've seen. You've earned a sub from me! keep up the great work!!
Cannot see why anyone would use bass boost? hahahahahahahaha as a bass head, there's no such thing as too much bass. mine are arriving tomorrow and i cannot wait!
+Alisson Xavier i have both.. i prefer the xb950bt because of the bass .. if you a want clear sound with minimal bass you go for the mdr but if you are into hiphop you go for the xb.
Great review. Concise and straight to the point! Nice to see a reviewer talking about sound quality in a fair amount of depth too. You've gained a subscriber!
TechTechTV I was watching another video about the Bass Boost, and it only works with Bluetooth is that correct? You can't used Bass Boost while using the cord, or I'm I wrong?
Thanks for the informative, useful review, mate. I just purchased the Sony MDRX650BT/B Extra Bass Bluetooth Headphones from our friends over at Amazon. I’ll give them a try, until then, cheers, man!
+Anthony Kovash Thank you Anthony, that means a lot. Only been going for just over a year now. I hope the channel will grow, but I guess these things take time. Nice comments like this keep me inspired to keep going so thanks!
I have just received this model from Lazada, Malaysia. The control on the rim of the right headphone is simply a on/off button and two arrow buttons marked with the volume up and down symbols that seem to do nothing. There is a button between these which seem to connect to local very crackling local FM stations. That's it. Not as you show on your headphones. I have tried without success to get it to work with my Bluetooth Audio Receiver because my Hisense smart TV does not have Bluetooth. Although I get the message that they TV and headphones are connected and paired, I get no sound. The ones I ave are made in China.
i just purchased these, when charging for the first time how long should it take and or should there be a light telling me that they are charging? mines not doing anything:')
SO the NFC doesnt make the sound better than blue tooth it just allows your NFC capable phone to connect even faster than NFC while also saving some predetermine sound settings RIGHT????????
If you had to compare the two: XB950BT or ZX770BN Which one do you think is better bang for the buck or worth buying? You did mention that the 950 are more superior in terms of sound quality, but 770 provide active noise cancellation.
Sir I have some doubts regarding this headphones 1. Recently I had purchased I ball bluetooth headphones and it was working nice but no bass is there and it always creating connection error so my que was is that sony headphones will also creates connection error..? When some thing is playing the audio was not continue. 2.I have sony mdr xb 400 but that was foam made and now not giving bass and also little wired problem so does it has foam or leather and does the lether may damage one day?3.I heard that wireless headphones create microwave signals which is not good for brain.. So we should not use wireless equipments does it safe to use because bluetooth has high frequency waves does it not bad for health or Brian? 4.which 1 is better I am bass lover 950bt or 950ap?
You didn't mention if you found the bass "loose" o "tight". Some reviewers liked the Audio Technica M50x ..said it sounded "balanced but the bass a bit loose"..I wan "tight sounding bass. + "balanced sound".
Awesome vid. I just purchased these from best buy for 100 bucks during their elite members early black friday sale. Had a question for you though. How's the fit. I go on runs often. I have a feeling these wont be good for running but thought id ask. Will they jump around too much or is the fit that good. Also I do have a big head as well. Does the headband lose tension with time?
+Rigs “Canadianbean” Cuevas For me they fit quite snug because I have a big head. The headband tension should be fine but they will probably move whilst you're running anyway. You could get one of those fabric sweatbands for your head and wear it over the top to hold it in place but you might end up looking like you've been teleported straight from the 1980s. You'll definitely enjoy them though. You got them for a good price!
Well that kind of suxs for me then.. :(....mines is coming tomorrow....i play a game called Counter Strike Global Offensive..and that game requires mic....i prefer using Wired Cable because ummm"" this may sound silly to those who use bluetooth alot"" ...well this bluetooth wireless is something i dont like because of the radiation through-pass to your head and can damage your brain thats y i intend to stick with wired cable. Can you reply to me back again Sir? ...And you sir make awesome videos btw kudos to you...and i hope you keep it Up.
Rudra Newaz just get a separate mic and use that man. or use your computer's mic if you have one. I used my pcs mic when playing csgo on some headphones without a mic and it was pretty good
Wifi is pumping out the same 2.4ghz frequency electromagnetic radiation. Hope you and none of your family members/roommates/neighbors are using wifi. If you are worried about bluetooth you should probably be worried about other sources of EM radiation more than bluetooth. Not that there's any significant amount of science behind wifi or bluetooth causing brain damage.
Saw in flames in your playlist and that's some classic death metal right there, how do these sound with extreme metal I can never find reviews for any audio items in terms of how they handle metal? I mainly listen to melodic death, technical death, and symphonic power metal, and a decent amount of black and thrash.
Hi i would just like to ask hows your sony xb950bt right now ? is it still okay ? how about the performace of the battery ? and also the swivel part or the one that connect the headcup to the headband ? because most of the buyer of this product have a same problem on that part and they say its easily got broke ? and if its okay to charge the mdr xb 950bt using mobile phone charger ? and how do you charge ur headphone ? because sony didnt put any adapter just a cable on the box .. and lastly is it okay to buy on the amazon of this product ? sorry for so many questions , i just want to verify things before getting this hoping for your response and thankyou in advance nice vids by the way .
Hello guys i really need help What is the best bluetooth+ noise vanceling + sound quilty headphons should i buy ? 1-bludio R+ legend 2-sony MDRXB950BTextra bass. 3-plantronics backbeat pro
Thanks mate for your review I'm thinking almost definitely to buy the standard wired ones specially at £58 from amazon & the Bluetooth costing £119 doble the price right now coz the non Bluetooth are on sale. But I just wanted to know if U think there is any difference between the 2 on sound quality, obviously I would much prefer to buy the Bluetooth Sony headphones but they're double the price.
Good review! I'm thinking on buying these headphones, but I have a question: how good/bad do they isolate sound? E.g if you're traveling a lot, would they isolate good in airplanes and things like that? Regards Andrei
+Andrei Merkoulov Hello. These aren't noise cancelling headphones and they don't do very much to block out external sound. When walking near a main road I can still hear cars driving by. You get used to it, but if blocking out external noise is important to you, you should probably go for something else.
+TechTechTV Thank you, what would you suggest me to buy? I'm really a "Bass head". Rn I have the Sony MDR XB400, and to be honest they isolate really good even if they aren't isolating headphones. Anyway, what can you suggest? :)
+Andrei Merkoulov Bose QuietComfort 25 had scarily good noise cancelling when I briefly tried them out. I find Bose headphones really comfortable too. amzn.to/1Tle1CU
How am I supposed to know if they fully charged because they still got the red light on them they cut off and I turned it back on with the charger it stay red
+David Aguirre Make sure you're holding your phone on the correct side where the NFC chip or whatever is, for about 1-10 seconds to make sure, and it should appear on your screen asking if it wants to pair. If it doesn't connect, then there must be a problem with your phone, nothing else.
Please I've a question !! The Headphone is regular first until u click to the boost button then it becomes extra bass or they 're already extra bass and the boost button make it more bass? *urgent* plz
Hi. Great review!! I got some questions though: I just bought these, and when i did the initial charge up of the battery, i noticed that the red light that shows the status, about half way through the charging process (2 hours in) stopped to show up, so i had no way of knowing if it way charging up the battery or not....I charged it for 4 hours as suggested though so now i wanna know: Why did the red light on the side just stop blinking?? There was nothing wrong with my laptop or anything...And how do i tell when its time to recharge again? Cause right now im getting this blue blinking light (3 short flashes) when i listen to music wirelessly...Please somebody explain on how to "read" the battery status, on how to know when fully recharged ect!! Thanks
+2 Minute Tech although these headphones arent specifically meant to be noise-cancelling, is there at least an element of such a function with this model of sony's?
what the name of the music in between..i love it while sleeping. i just bought one new headphone from sony and its great then beats product. nfc works just fine.
Just got mine today yes the Bass boost does not work with Wire you have to use the device EQ to get the right setting. Once right have to say the sound is better and louder
so i recently got these for christmas, almost everything about them is fine, it works, nice sound, good stuff good stuff...only complaint i have is the charging, i use my samsung fast adapter with the usb cable the headphone comes with, once i connect the headphones to charge, the red light comes on for like 2 secs and disappears, then just blank, nada, nothing, no indication for me to know if its actually charging, and if it is, idk if it's fully charge, or how much longer it needs to charge (i know it says to charge for 4 hours, but thats not the point)... does anyone know if this is normal or am i doing something?
I've had mine for less than 2 months. I was listening to them one night 🌃 and got this beep sound in my ear 👂 and they died. I assumed it was my battery so I charged the headphones 🎧 I came back hours later to check them and they won't even turn back on now. I used my Samsung charger for my phone 📱 to charge them up, its all I got. Any clue or help would be great. Thanks
+WthrsJr Depends on what you mean by vibrate. Do you hear any noticeable difference between bass boost being on or off? I wouldn't describe mine as vibrating with this mode turned on. Bear in mind, that bass boost only works when connected via bluetooth. It won't turn on when connected with the audio cable.
***** What the fuck are you talking about? These headphones are shit, they sold hardly any until they reduced the price and allowed peasants to buy them. I returned mine after 5 days.
+TommyKnowsBest Yes, it's good. As I say in the video, you'll probably want to make some EQ adjustments on your device to get the sound you're looking for though.
Hi thanks for the review nice Sony headphones well right now they're on a special offer on amazon for £108 so I'm going to order a pair right now with a case that is £6.99 that I will need probably coz I travel quite a bit they should sound really nice when I plug them on my iPhone 6s or my Samsung galaxy S7 anyway thanks mate and peace
what does that have to do with the aux cable? the cable provides power to the headphones. the skull candy headphones that are the same price as these have that exact feature where the bass boost can be used with both bluetooth and aux
first of all genius! this headphone strictly use power to operate the buttons, and don't you dare compare sony headphone to skullcandy because they are not the same company mate, and if you say aux provide power, first yes it does bring electricity to the magnets of the headphone but not to power the headphone to provide you operating the buttons. So you strictly need power for the sony's and if you use it offline/aux cable that mean all the headphone went off sound still get on the headphone with aux cable, but you can't operate the button!
I have a question if anyone can help me with it. I just bought Sony Bluetooth Headphones XBR950BT and paired them with my iPhone 6s plus. I am playing songs from my music playlist on the headphones but the problem I am facing is that it's not changing tracks automatically. It keeps on repeating the same song again and again until I change the song from my iPhone itself. Please can someone help me on how to deal with this situation? Thanks anyone for the help in advance :) P.S I even have macbook pro 2014 and when I play songs on iTunes view headphones they do change tracks automatically.
+Crys Karade Yes, this is the case I own for these headphones. When you first get them, it doesn't look like they'll fit, but they do so comfortably. I quite like the pouch for the charging cable inside the Brainwavs case too.
Oh thanks man! But maybe I have to look for another, because Iam from Germany and at Amazon it isnt available yet. Do you maybe know another good case? :) I will get these nice headphones for Christmas :))
+Ethan Roy I said near the start of the video that plugged in, it has a wider frequency range. Also, I said that over bluetooth there is a noticeable hiss. Whether or not something sounds 'better' is entirely subjective. I want to avoid stating my opinion as fact. Try them out if you can. Some people will love them, some will hate them.
+Kevin Plural I'm pretty sure the microphone will not work over bluetooth, nor will it work with the cable which is a TRS cable. (It'd need to be a TRRS cable for it to be able to use the microphone when wired).
