Thank you for a very informative video. A tad more light would have helped but I got all the info i needed. For those that didn't pay 'close enough' attention: The battery is in the cup opposite the one with all the electronics: The buttons, the charging port, and the light.
Thanks for this. Didn't know about the logo opening when I tried opening them myself lol... Turns out I had to "reseat" everything in the left cup to get them to power back on again, no need for new battery, yay 🤣. And tx again 👌
Thank you for your video, which provided the basis of my understanding on how to replace the battery. Tricked up a bit with the screw underneath the outer cap however on re-viewing realised the significance of this step. Appreciate the time take to prepare and post this. Cheers ....
My daughter broke the plastic groove where the last holding metal piece slides (last piece that you took away in the video at 7:51). Is there any spare piece that one can buy to replace the broken one? THANK YOU!!!
Hey I know it's been a while since you commented this, but my headphones just broke on the exact same spot as well. I was wondering if you have found a solution to fix this issue.
Thanks for the video My battery is starting to fail , what side is the battery on ( left side the power button side) or the right side? So I don't have to do unnecessary tear down.
So I have a pair that does not turn on.. I replaced the battery and no dice. The USB port does not appear to be damaged and the replacement battery had enough charge to turn it on but would not. Any legitimate ideas?
So I got the Sony MDR and I got an issue with it. My headphone turns on after pressing the power button for 3 seconds, but is not going into pairing mode after holding the power button for 7 seconds.. the bluetooth stays disabled for some reason.. Anyone know what the issue might be? I have reset the headphones and also tried restoring to factory settings but that did not do the trick. I don't think it is a hardware issue, but I'm on the brink of opening it up.. please help?
@@AliMohamed-yq4wn If he headphones think there is an audio cable plugged in, they turn off bluetooth. Perhaps the extra pin inside the headphone connector has bent and is no longer closing when the cable is unplugged - so they think there is a cable plugged in still?
Battery is in the right pad. Thanks for disassembly instructions. find a new one on aliexpress type 402035 "(35x20x4mm), need a soldering iron to replace. No help from sony to replacement instructions or spare part availability. planned obsolescence for shure
@@hell_mut8742 mine seem to have stopped charging, i dont get a charging light lit at all, however when i leave them plugged in they do seem to charge a little but only last maybe 5 minutes, any ideas
I had the same issue. Solved it b charging it with an USB charger with 2A. It is not recommendet but it pushes the battary a Little bit. It is worth trying before considering a battary replacement.
my left side stopped working wtf dude. god i hate headphones. wired ones do the same thing after a while EVEN THOUGH you take care of them. this is garbage
