Hello, I have a doubt, my ps4 when it lights presents the PlayStation logo does not return to give video and is left with the light in white. I want to know if it is HDMI Video Output IC MN86471A Chip for Playstation 4 that needs to replace or only the HDMI port.

Good Video. How many have you done and got it to work.. would you consider fixing mine? My PS4 won't turn on if it's plugged in with a HDMI Cord. I have to keep the HDMI Cord unplugged for my PS4 to turn on. Then I'll plug the HDMI Cord back in and it works... is the HDMI port the problem? I tested 2 different HDMI Cords.

This is the best video I have seen in dismantling, replacing the HDMI port and reassembling. What wattage soldering iron should I use? Also I broke the plug that goes from the fan to the motherboard when I tried to remove the plug. Is this fixable? Can I just solder the grey, black and brown wires directly on the board joints? So i got my HDMI port replaced by a computer/electronic fix store and got it back yesterday. Since then my PS4 controllers have had trouble connecting and staying connected to the ps4, they also lag a bit. sometimes it works for a minute or two well, but then everything stops responding and then tries to catch up with analog stick movements. The controllers also turn off and then i cant reconnect them to the console without them being plugged in by the usb cord. Is there anything around the area of the HDMI port that the shop could have screwed up to make this happen? or do you think it could be a different issue... i spent just over 100 dollars fixing it and everything except the hdmi port seemed to be working before i sent it in..

Great video. I've tried twice now with just a heat gun and failed. I watched another video where the guy just used a heat gun and was able to replace the port without using anything else. Which part of your process do you consider to be why the heat gun alone won't work?

Appreciate the vid! 2 questions: When you were applying the solder to the pins it seemed like you put a lot. Could there be an issue with connector pins touching each other or will the port prevent that once it's attached. AND where do you find so many broken PS4s???

What size solder did you use for this project? Is it flux core type or just plain solder?

I am about to fix a HDMI port on a Laptop Motherboard using your method, however, where the pins need to be soldered 9:50, how does the solder just stick to each single pin contact perfectly why don't the globs of solder don't clump or short two or three pins together? Is it because you put flux over the area? Thank you in advance. Again awesome video!

where did you fint the screw driver to get all of the small screws out?

I sent my PS4 to a electronic repair shop to fix this issue and when I got it back it would turn off by itself after 20 minutes of use, gave it back to them and it's been almost two months and they still haven't fixed it, and they haven't contacted me in 2 WEEKS, what could they have fucked up to cause all this mess? Is there anything near the hdmi port that pertains to this? Another company said they could run a diagnostic check but advise me that I shouldn't pay a dime to the original shop. What do you think?

Can I contact you about my broken PS4? I don't have the tools or the experience necessary to perform this repair. My son plugged the USB charging cable from the PS4 into the wall directly which shocked the PlayStation and turned it off. When I turned it back on I get no signal and a solid white light after a flashing blue light. I can connect my controller using Bluetooth NO CHORD and actually hold the ps button and enter rest mode by pressing (x, left on Dpad, x) and the PS4 powers to he orange light in rest mode so I am getting functionality from the system. YET I get no sound from headphones plugged into the controller when I move around what would be the home screen. I am hoping this is a capacitor or bs hdmi port not the motherboard or whatever and someone can fix it for me? :0
