Sony PSP 1000 - How to correctly replace a power switch, charge port, and yellowed buttons

I recently created a website for PSP parts, systems, and custom builds:
everythingpsp....
This is a repair on a system with no power or charge light (turns on and charges still), chipped chipped charge port, yellowed buttons, and a sticker power switch slider. This repair should only take around 10min.

Hey will this fix issue with a 1001 power switch not being responsive it takes a couple trys for the psp to turn on or off with the switch?

Yeah you can replace the power switch to fix that issue

This is the same as the 1001 ?

Yeah it’s the same procedure for any 1000 series PSP

my man you should show what you're doing. At 12:38 I am having issues with the XO△▢ Buttons when I close it, the O stops working, won't move. I can't see what I'm doing wrong lol

I’m only a pro when it comes to a psp repair, and a complete novice when it comes to filming any of this stuff lol (crappy camera setup). What I’m doing off camera is cleaning the gunk off, which is pretty easy and straightforward. If you’re not getting good compression with the O button, slightly lift up the faceplate and push the O slightly down. Also make sure you’ve got it oriented correct with the 4 legs. It’s good to also wipe down the button rubber to help with sensitivity

@@blakeblundell9001 yeah I actually found my issue cause I knew it couldn't have been complex but it just didn't want to work and I dug out my microscope camera and yeah the new shell isn't 100% right I had to slightly file it

Another persons video I watched show me how to to this. I got 12% isoporyal alcohol and then I got a little sauce container, filled it with buttons, made a tiny hole for gas escaping and closed the sauce jar, wrapped it around aluminum foil with the shiny side facing inwards all around, leaving the light come through the top. Within say less than a few hours it turned to the original color. Make sure the container is fully translucent.
