No sé si entiendes español: si quitas un smd de esos pequeños y haces un puente con un cable o con estaño mismo, funcionan las cosas? No se queman los demás componentes? Bad english: If you remove an SMD and connect with a wire, the pcb works? Thanks!
The specific SMD component I've replaced is a fuse. The better solution is to replace it with a new one. If you don't have any you can use 0 Ohm resistor. If you have nothing of this then you can use a very thin wire and I mean very thin because next time you'll have a problem with the backlight it can fry your motherboard.
@@PlusComputersService i have the situation where the lcd now has got any light, system has sound, but no light is present.Even with flashlight it is not showing. If i replace it with broken lcd,i did have sound neither.Board or lcd?
i recently somehow got a PSP which was my Dream come true. But my R button is not working and while cleaning and all are done already, still it doesn't work. And now the Back light. I am gonna try to do this method, but please tell me how to FIX the Freaking R button. Thanks
Hi, Could there be other problems besides the resistor you replaced? I read all the comments, I tried with a fine copper wire, but absolutely nothing changes the LEDs stay off, can you kindly help me, Thanks
Of course the problem can be somewhere else. It can be a bad display also. If you can see the image as in the video then measure the voltage of the fuse. If it reads ok then try another display.
@@PlusComputersService I did the same thing you did, I lit up the screen, it shows, I don't think it's the display, I made a bridge with a fine copper wire as read in some comments, unfortunately it doesn't work, maybe the bridge isn't good ?, besides the resistance, there may be some other problem, sorry for asking, I didn't understand. thank you very much.
@@YargNayrod I told you to measure the backlight line at the fuse you've replaced. You need to check if there is voltage for the begining. Screen can look good but the backligh inside it can be bad. No one told me to just replace the fuse, as you can see in the video I measured if it's good at the begining and then replaced it.
I didnt turn on my psp for year. Yesterday i let it charge for the whole night. Today i tried to turned it on and it didnt do anything but the green led and the sound on. I tried to connect the display and for some sec the lcd turned on but then idk what happened but the backlight has stopped working. Idk what to do!!
okay, so can you answer me something. I can hear the sound, use buttons but I cannot see anything on screen. The screen works on other psp but not on this one. What can I do ?
Hi my PSP 2004 have the same problem , it works but no backlight on screen,i can see the imagem if i use my lantern just like u did on the video, the problem could be only on the backlight fuse ?
@@PlusComputersService i already checked all fuses and they work but i notice that : 1 conector of LCD (the small One ) have 1 pin broken , This could be the reason ? What should i do?
@@PlusComputersService Thx so much. And i want to ask another thing, i saw that you said that we can use a very thin wire instead of 0 ohm resisstor. How thin it should be? A wire from my charger is ok?
Hey bro! Thanks for the great video. I want to attempt this as well. I'd like to ask you a couple of questions... What is the yellow tube you are using at 1:58? Is it flux? Also, it seems to me like you are replacing the burnt fuse with a new fuse, is this correct? Is it possible to purchase a replacement fuse from somewhere?
awesome, I ordered that, thank you so much! You guys in Greece seem to have quite a lot going with PSPs - I've seen people selling nice PSPs, rare replacement parts being available... are they still popular in Greece?
hello i hope you could still reply. i got this happen with mine and i have like 3 spare android phone boards so if i get a matching resistor can i pull it off and replace this one? since its my main retro device and the battery is still outstanding cause it was replaced sometime ago. best regards
@@consolegamer0075with no sound maybe the connector is not fully connected on the other site i had this problem but after few tryes i could hear the music. Tho i still have a problem with no backlight and joystick won't work + some buttons on the front panel
What is the materials needed? Because materials of psp here in ph seem to be rare? Csn you tell me what is the names of materials used in this video thank you, and a much clear please thank you. Because I don't know what to tell the electronic shop what is the materials i needed.
hey! i recently started using my psp again and needed to disassemble it because the homebar stopped working. after that I couldn't get the screen to work anymore. is a broken fuse the only thing that can happen? because the ribbon cable that connects it is bent, so is there a chance that that is what's wrong?
@@PlusComputersService what is a multimeter? Mine also works before I take it apart then after assembling it. The backlight problem occur I dunno how to fix it or find the backlight fuse. Mine is 3000 model dunno if its 3004 I cant remeber
@@dominicvirtudes6593 If tou don't know what is multimeter then it's better to take it to someone who knows how to repair it or you can damage it more than it is already.
And you got to exactly solder correctly don't do it if you can't find someone who can at least there people like me that do it properly and ask for a little in return for expert that can get the job done right way it suspose to be

@@PlusComputersService he meant, that you didn't say anything, just do something. I personally don't understand. Can you explain it what are you doing in the video please?
