Can I just start off with WOWWWW THIS CAMERA IS AMAZINGGGG! Coming from someone who doesn’t have much knowledge on cameras itself I see why photographers and videographers would invest in this! I never paid close attention to its features and all the special functions it has to offer. Cameras are not given enough credit or at least just to me because of my lack of awareness🙈 I believe winning this camera would greatly help me with capturing everyday moments and all that this world has to offer! This is crazy cause I just snap chatted you not so long ago asking which camera you recommend and you answered me like you always do (which is one of the reasons why I love you, lol) my fiancé and I are on the market for this camera because of your recommendation and research we’ve been doing. Such a helpful video! Even though my major in college allowed me to explore using cameras and video editing software, I grew unattached and unmotivated as I didn't have the equipment myself to produce content about things I have a passion for/stuff I find interesting to watch... plus I'm such a perfectionist/shy person that I've always been scared to put any out there. Currently working on that through starting to post on Instagram that I hope to soon film videos as well because often I find myself saying "Damn, I wish I documented that and have something to look back on my experiences." Hey Andy & Joycelyn! The RX100V would be such a blessing to not only me but my dad as well. I was lucky enough to try it out back when Andy visited Vancouver BC and I was constantly amazed by the slow motion features on such a small camera. I remember specifically moving the camera from side to side as fast as i could then reviewing such a smooth slow motion clip. My dad, who loves travelling and hiking just as much as I do, owns a beaten up (barely works) RX100 (mark II) and refuses to buy a new one because he said "he doesn't need it." So I believe the RX100V would not only be a perfect gift for him but also a way for us to share our passion for photography. I was excited when you announced you had a new video on snap chat. But I was too busy to watch it till now. I didn't know that tiny camera could do all that. I thought only a dslr could. Winning the Sony RX100V would mean the world to me. I work extremely hard as an overseas Filipino worker nurse to provide financial support for my family back home in the Philippines. All of my income goes to them as I am the breadwinner of my family. Like many of the young aspiring photographers and story-tellers, I too dream of becoming a successful entertainer in the world of social media with the incorporation of cinamatography inspired by Andy To's very creative style of film making. But with the recent death of my beloved mother, I had to make ends to meet and fly to the UK to earn a living as a nurse to help finance my siblings' schooling and my Dad's medical bills. You guys described everything so well in this video and made the RX100 look awesome! The slow motion and macro shots look so good for a point-and-shoot! My girlfriend's always talking about how she wants a DSLR for vlogging and asks to do BTS videos at my video shoots (We're starting a photography/videography business together, Lotus Visuals), but she says my 70D might be too heavy for her even if we had a second one. Honestly you are an inspiration to me because you come from Oakland and I am born and raised native Oakland as well (Bayarea!) I work two jobs and have been busting my ass paying off loans from college and just recently got engaged. I've always thought about creating a channel and doing more with creating content that would just make me feel like I'm doing some change. It would also really help to have a great camera to be able to take good videos for my engagement and future wedding! There was a recent death in my family and my sister and I thought of putting together a photo album after my uncle’s funeral to give my aunt. The thought behind it is so that we can show her how much she is loved and how much support she has. I have filmed with my go pro when I went to Cancun and cabo but it just doesn’t get the quality shots I really want. I honestly believe this camera would help me because I can finally start documenting all the cultural events (specifically Philippine/Pilipinx-American culture) on my campus and the surrounding SoCal area! I have been finding it hard to get back into photography the last few months from the fear I can't come up with more creative content. Traveling comes in hand with photography, so when I lose motivation to go out and shoot, essentially I stop doing what I love, which is seeing more of the world. I have taken a small break because I feel as if I don't do enough with just photography to spread the message I want through my pictures - which is to help people realize (mostly those in the Bay Area that are so focused on the tech world) that there are SO many more wonders and purposes in life than computers and work. I don't go on long trips to get my content because I try to focus on sharing adventures that people would want to explore for a short trip/on a long weekend. My content is to help people recognize that you don't need a lot of money or time, or even an extravagant plan to just GET OUT and EXPLORE. I know vlogging will help send the message across easier but I have just been afraid to start cause I don't know where to even begin. I understand I don't need a great camera to want to start, because it all starts from me...but it would just be a great help. Especially since the only camera I use at the moment is a nikon D750 (yay nikon fam!!! haha. please don't hate :P) and it is such a huge camera to drag around just for filming.
