One of my Sony SL-HF100UB HiFi betamax developed a fault that looked like a failed hall effect sensor on the video drum. Today we pull the machine apart and try to fix it.
lol - 9 o'clock at night. I end up working on all this kit past midnight... Hear the comment about the eyes though! Never had to change those capacitors - always been good. The HiFi audio connector is very fragile. Good work 👍👍
Hello! I just subscribed to your channel. This was the first video I watched, I will watch the others over time. I want to ask something: Wouldn't just cleaning the hallf effect sensor be enough without replacing it? The old one seemed solid. Greetings from Turkey... Thanks...
Hi there. Welcome to my channel. I have tried cleaning it myself but i think the glue is corrosive as well and the corrosion goes into the hall effect sensor. Certainly try to clean and see what happens. Maybe using acetone. Good luck!
