Wow, a Sony which doesn't sound muffled? This is clearly a landmark in Sony's history of bluetooth and party speakers. I guess they finally found a better source for the technical fabric around the speaker, or were able to tune the speaker. It sounds indeed more hifi-like, still missing the sub bass. This puts it in the league of the BB2 and the Soundcore Motion Boom Plus (the OG).
How about a Boombox 3 partyboosted with an Xtreme 3? Think it would beat the Sony? I'd like the deeper base with good mid (Xtreme seems to offer good mids).
Listened this video on sony XG500 My conclusion: jbl wind in terms of deep bass, sony on battery, overall sound I would like to see soundbattle between ult 7 and xg500
With Sony coming out the gate with this. JBL need to step their game up. But listening through a video will do no justice. I think I need to get the pair myself and do my own testing.
I was about to choose a camo JBL but then I stumbled on a comparison of them and then listened to these, and the Sony has better midrange tonal accuracy and a larger spectrum of sound, and the JBL sounded, in contrast, THIN, as more than one reviewr has said..
Considering the current lack of car atereo I have, a ouple of these seem like they will give me the stereo I want while retaining portability and other utility.
I own the JBL Boombox original and always looked down upon Sony. In the 4 years I have owned it, the battery has seriously depleted and it has a back up of just 3 hours now on full volume. After sales service sucks. I will go for Sony Ult 7 now after watching this. Nothing can beat Sony ❤
Left and right speakers sharing one sealed space is a bad idea and can cause loss of clarity and problems with the sound. That's one thing I've noticed about these passive radiator designs
Are you able to test to see if there is any delay with the AUX input. I have the JBL and there is a slight delay when I use it with my custom Karaoke setup, i suppose I could use the guitar input, but my karaoke setup does all the processing, effects and autotune so i just need a flat, no latency response part speaker.
1000! In primul rand puterea sunetului nu se masoara in W se masoara in db, 2: nu are relevanta intrebarea, 3: majoritatea producatorilor seriosi nu dau masuratori in W.
ONLY $400.00? Didn't you just frown at BOSE for their speaker being $400.00? If I didn't love BOSE so much, I'd definitely be a SONY fan. They make some quality products from what I've seen.
This speaker is in a totally different weight class compared to the Bose lol. $400 is a deal for this speaker, especially with it being as new as it is.
But Bose released their Max unfinished!! With features to be added via future updates, eg stereo pairing... Just like the QC Ultra ear buds - multi-point to be available via future firmware updates... Seems like many companies are doing this now - does the iPhone 15 release ring a bell?? 😁😁
@@IMHO88-dm1xfIf you’re looking for a true outdoor speaker, then the EXTREME 4 is the way to go. The Bose Max is a better indoor or inside speaker, where you’ll be able to maximize the bass & sound quality. Once you take & use a speaker outside, it loses certain sound characteristics. You’ll need a speaker that’s clean & loud with a good battery life. This is where the EXTREME 4 excels.
U mean sony sounds muffled to jbl,see in vid it does but i own a pb 110 and bb3 and it aint muffled at all,its wayyy clearer than most sonys i have ever heard.also i have the jbl go 3,its tiny but it would prob beat the sony ult 7ezzzzz
@@pullingthestrings5233 I'm not going to recommend the Sony Ult for deep bass. The Boombox is known for deeper bass, and it has a subwoofer. It is a question between the two speakers.
@@pullingthestrings5233The Sony Ult 7 does not have as deep bass as JBL. The JBL has a subwoofer, while the Ult "only" has woofers. The JBL should inherently have deeper bass. During the review, at 4:20, he says that the bass is deeper. If deciding between the two speakers purely for deep bass, the JBL has the advantage.
I actually own both. Received the JBL yesterday, and the Sony is in transit. Blowing the JBL back, sealed NIB. Going to keep the Sony. Why? Personally, as a JBL fan....I cannot stand the HUGE JBL letters. Such a turn off. 2nd. I need to store the speaker vertically, (poolside, under the patio...when not in use). With the Sony you can store it vertically. Dealbreaker for me is the HUGE JBL initials, and don't want to store it horizontally. I agree. Sony is back.
