Found another solution. If you have gpu acceleration turned on, there is a chance your gpu drivers are at fault. Not only are some versions of sony vegas's gpu acceleration not well supported but also outdated drivers make a difference! Try updating your gpu drivers, see if that works. If it doesn't, try turning off gpu accel. If that works, you know it's gpu related.

This is what helps when it crashes beyond all other fixes. But this will slow it down a whole lot. But, it's a work around that works. Next to the option to render in bits and put it back together with a second generation re-render. But this method preserves the highest quality. Still awayting if the machine doesn't crash, a 32 minute video will now take an enstimated 14 hours to render... Why do bugs and crashes even exist anyway??? I don't see the need or use of them anyway.
i cannot thank you enough. vegas wouldn't render my video, and i ended up spending hours re-editing the same video, but it still didn't. i almost had to switch video editors, but then i found this video. It still works, even though this video is like nearly 4 years old. thanks once again!
I have Sony Vegas Pro 13 and when i click render the program start the render up to 13% and then crashes: "nvoglv64" problem, this file dll was installed with the updating drivers with geforce experience in 08/03/16, can you help me? P.S. Sorry for my english.
Thank you so much for this! Even now in 2021 with Vegas 14 this method worked for me. I used a lot a Sapphire Plugins in my 4 hour long DOOM deathmatch gameplay showcase video and it always seemed to freeze rendering on those transitions. On videos less than 2 hours it could render without problems, but this new 4 hour video could not finish rendering. After trying your method it rendered without any problems. It relieved me from my sudden struggles even after years of using Vegas. My subscribers and I very much appreciate your help!
I totally understand and yeh that's pretty much vegas pro, when it gets a harder task it just freezes and doesn't know what to do haha but I'm happy to hear your project is fine now :)
Out of everything I've ever tried- nothing has work. I MEAN EVERYTHING. But this has SAVED my ass so I will have my parts in for deadlines! I'm so grateful for this video and you uploading it! Thanks so much man!!
Thank you so much you literally saved my life! Every time I tried to render my video it was stopping at 13% *nervous laugh* , and... yeah... just not going any further. And now, thank to your tutorial I successfully rendered my video! Thanks once again!
GOD BLESSS YOUUUUU!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I'm posting this in 2019 and I REALLY needed help. I've been working on a DVD for a client and I've rendered a bunch of videos for this DVD. Suddenly, I get to the "Gag Reel" and it stops at 98%. I've tried rendering it probably 5 times. And I did what you said and it worked!!! I'm so happy. Thank you for your help. And for teaching me something new. I didn't know that having the preview window open slowed down the rendering process. Did not know that but thank you! From now on, I'll close that window out. Thank you SO much!!! ♥
Thank you very much! I tried this with SV 17 and it worked. After first copying the project into an empty new window and trying to render, then changing the part of the video where it usually got stuck while rendering then updating graphic card drivers, at last this finally did the trick. Just for some reason instead of rendering my cca 30sec video for a few minutes, this method took about an hour and a half to render. But it worked! THANK YOU 🙂👍
The thing is that when I save something, it still has cuts in the clip. I don't know if it's a movie studio thing, but yeah. my computer has been having problems recently but now the problems are just on sony vegas and not in games. My video stops rendering at 8 to 9 percent. I think I need to get my computer fixed. But you helped numerous people so keep up the great work!!!
Yeah sony vegas can sometimes be your friend and other times it can be your enemy when it consistently crashes or doesn't let you render, all I can see really is to just do some testing with changing some other settings or giving sony vegas more ram to work with. I'm not even joking some days it was playing up for me and next day it was fine and I didn't even do anything
OMG THIS IS THE BEST! YOU ARE THE BEST! I was almost throwing my computer out of the window because it wouldn't render anything and this solved my problem. Thank you so much!!
I’ve been trying to render the same video for over a month and it kept freezing at 13% - I followed this video and it worked first time!!! Thank you very much!
im really grateful to find this video, this problem drive me crazy cause i really need to finish my video editing and im done now cause you share this useful video. thank you so much
Wow. This was the only tutorial that worked. Thank you so much this was so amazingly helpful you don't even understand. Have a music video due for an anatomy class and it's 3 a.m. and I am having render problems. This saved my ass I owe u my life man thankyou.
Honestly I don't really know any other ways, I guess you could maybe give sony vegas more ram and memory if you go in the settings or update your sony vegas. I think mine automatic fixed its self but I haven't tried it. I always use this way because once I finish editing I can do this and pre-render my clips which kind of makes the quality better because it puts all the layers into one before doing the full render.
I'll be making two videos soon showing my render settings for 720p 60fps and 1080p 60fps, so just keep an eye out on the channel for when they come out
I know it has been 5 years but still, i am editing in vegas pro 16 and when i watch fully rendered video, in some places it just freezes but effects are still going (animated). When I tried this method rendering just freezes(sony vegas is not closing, but render stucks at about 50%)
Thanks, it fixed it. For me it would be stuck at 16%, and the estimated time lest would still go down, but once it was at 0 it still did'int end, and had to close with task manager where it would show a process for the crash handler before closing without me being able to see the message.
I’m not sure if you still respond but I’m having rendering problems on VEGAS pro 17 and literally I’m trying to render a 20 min video but as it’s rendering it stop at either 4% 7% or 13% and I’m trying to do what you did, I thought god finally said here you go until it stopped at 11% yet the estimated time & approximate time still move ?? is it rendering but the bar is just stuck ??
@@NightZilla Bro i figured it out. The best way to do this is to cut the part when the rendering stops and either render it at their own (didnt work for me, still stops) or make the part from scratch in a different project, thats exactly what i did
Does anyone know what causes this issue? I've rendered quite a few videos just fine this month, and then today it wouldnt go past 9 or 13%. This video solved it. What causes it and why did I suddenly have the issue ?
