I have that flux. Didn't like it. Never tried flux before, so it was probably my technique. Will practice. Good video, and nice Walkman.

Thank you for watching. Head ribbon was also glued.... which added complexity during resoldering

Great. To solder the ribbon cable, one of the techniques used is to touch the tip of the iron and quickly pull. The weld remains the same as the factory original.

Another great tool: buy a 929-DV desoldering iron, good price and nice quality.
