DUUUUUUDE! I did it! Thx alot for the detailed coverage! Same as Aaron Ford I did some minor damage to the screen but if you don't know it you wouldn't even recognize the slight discolouring. SOOO H A P P Y!!!!

thanks for the vid bud, really helped, quick warning to anyone about to try this, dont pusy the plastic card into far when seperating the screen from adhesive. i did and the card went under the screen and caused a bit of damage. my own daft fault tho.

Great video, really sad my Experia XZ2 port became faulty. My sony Experia x is still going strong and my daughter still uses that now. Otherwise LOVE sony phones I find them super underrated!

Is there a flow chart or a guide that would explain why a screen after repair would turn on (LED lights on the side) but not Sony text or images show up. Phone vibrates. What went wrong on the different connectors or cables when replacing the USB-C Port.

you didn't put a warning about the lcd might broken if you push the plastic too deep inside when opening it

I thought I would give it a go. Now the cable plugs in but there is no picture on the screen. I didn't put on the sticker because I obviously damaged it somehow. The screen will vibrate, then the LED lights will come one (as seen from the unstickered sides) the right top will have a white corner...then nothing on the screen. I have started the device and nothing on the screen. Any ideas?

Oh well... Let's change the battery while we are at it lol. I fixed my z1 which had a broken screen. But I don't dare attempt a fix on that phone. It cost me 1000 dollars.. Yikes
