I know you mentioned the RX100 but can you recommend a camera for a photographer (my gf) that also has this kind of flip screen (because she likes to take selfies with her camera as well)? Maybe something with built in ND filters or something I can easily add ND filters to.

A quick question to you guys. This camera is INSANELY popular and actually a little cinematic beast when used right. Any chance you guys would make an anamorphic lens for it? Something portable like your other sets.
That lens mechanism of sony point and shoot is the most sensitive - so easy for sand, dust and water to be trapped inside. Had a similar incident with wx350 back in the day, i sent it for a warranty repair but the sony authorized repair center left a permanent white spot in the sensor. Also, after few weeks the lens dont retract any further making the whole unit useless. What a waste of money, so i learned the hard way these sony p&s need to be babied around
It's hard to see what this little guy can do in many reviewers But when it's in good hands like Moment i can see that how good this camera are and how much you can draw the potential from this camera if you are really good photographer

@@IrmaLaDulceASMR its not a a7 but its very good for loe light one of the best compact cameras in low light i have this cam and sepled my a6100 with the kit lens the zv 1 was bc of the f1.8 better in low light then the a6100 i personally prefer the zv 1
I’ve been Sony user for years but this camera is in time and place where iPhone now has better quality of video thx to better processing power. Sony needs to figure it out how to put bigger sensor in those bodies. Imagine if Apple pay more attention to their 3 cameras and all of them will be as good as main lens ...compact point and shoot cameras will be in big trouble.

That was a solid review. Thank you for your amazing work. I’ve been debating getting one, and while I like it lot, the sound of the manual zoom is super annoying! Very much cheapens the experience to me. I have an old Sony A65 which only records 30 min at a time, but I love the cinematic feel of the 35mm 24p setting. Does the ZV-1 have a similar setting?

hey there.... at 5:18min I noticed that the camera makes a loud sound when you are zooming in. I find that quite annoying for filming. Is there a way to avoid this noise (except not zooming)?
@@moment I'm using a Zomei 52mm wide angle attached to a magnetic mount. Gets a little wider but having a more streamlined design would be awesome. Something like the freewell wide angle for Osmo pocket. Pretty please!
those type of camera usually is trash because it sits in the middle, not PRO not idiot-proof enough for grandmom, just look those video he shot, they are not computational correct it, can you even edit a video after you shot it on this damn thing? you probably port it over to your phone anyway, with iPhone 4k which is shot in smart HDR which is good enough quality for most cases, a simple edit people post it on Instagram, I can't believe that middle-ground camera still around and some RU-vidr believes that this is better quality than iPhone and willing to waste their money on this crap , it is all about the content not about the images on youtube, if you want to get a good image like a film, you need to learn from MKHD way, just wipe out that red system.

As someone who does RU-vid videos mainly shot in my study, I actually grabbed this and sold a higher end camera, just because this thing gets the job done. Great little piece of gear from Sony 🤙🏼
MDizzy I think you should be fine if you use one of the grips with the record button/controls on it, they act sort of as a miniature selfie stick. That would provide extra stability as well.
Your videos are 😍 I have a Canon Rebel dslr. Old one. I’m looking to upgrade. since my Canon doesn’t have autofocus neither does it film in 4k. Do you think this is the next step for me?

My PC can't edit 4k anyway :) perfect - New update for unlimited streaming via USB also... Gonna grab it this week. But it came out a while ago, I'm afraid the next best camera is gonna come out soon.
Oh god please please PLEASE giv e us a compact anamorphic adapter for our ZV-1s!!! No need for a wide angle for vlogs, my camera would wear that little baby 24/7...
I find the zoom sound kind of annoying. And the mic jack is on the wrong side to work with my gimbal. I like the AF the most on this camera it looks like it is nice. I currently have the canon g7x mark iii and the AF is not that good. But everything else about it is pretty good.
Think of the stabilisation as really good when trying to hold the camera steady for a shot. Just not GoPro Hero 8 level while moving. I bought a Zhiyan M2 to for stabilised moving shots, and that works really well in a small package.
Pure Glide thanks mate. I’m coming from using an osmo action which also has really good stabilisation. I ended up getting the Zv-1 so I’ll need to change my mindset and the way I go about filming.
Loved your video! I considering buying this camera for my videos. I am currently using the Canon HRF800 camcorder, which gives me nice footage, but... this little ZV-1 looks like it might work better for hiking and outdoors adventures. What are your thoughts? Budget is a consideration for me, so I can't just buy something on a whim.
did you every share your settings for the ZV-1. I am wading through all the Bible-length menus picking up tips from other channels but really trust you insight. Thanks for mentioning the PP you use. Now, I am a noob when it comes to color grading--what videos on your channel do you recommend I watch. Also the 1080 vs 4K explanation makes so much sense.
A review by a purchaser on Amazon states that the Sony ZV-1 camera does NOT film continuously. According to that person, although you can film continuously, the camera breaks down into 10 minute segments. Another reviewer reveals that the Sony ZV-1 does not interface with Apple's iOS. I would appreciate a comment from an actual user here. Both of these criticisms are deal breakers for me since I have an Apple MacBook Pro and am planning to get the new 24" desktop. I don't know enough about posting and editing videos on Apple to know why this wouldn't be so.
This is a fantastic review, very practical tips. Yea Image stabilization is not that important for vlogging and then you can just turn it on for that buttery smooth 1080 120. Beautiful scenery, what a place to hike. :)
Hey guys I need help. When I import my footage or photos from my ZV 1 to my pc, whether I am using the usb cable or plugging the sd card directly into my pc, I lose the picture profiles and the images and videos look completely different from what I filmed. Does anyone have insight as to why this is happening? Also, what editing software is everyone using? I'm very new to photography and videography and just trying to learn the ropes.
Great video! I have always been interested in filmmaking but I have never gotten around to making one. I have done some research over the past few months trying to decide what camera to get. Hi, I am a new youtuber and I have bought this camera 2 days ago. I am getting on well with its settings but one thing I am cant seem to figure out is When I record myself or take a photo while the cameras screen is facing me, it flips the video/ photo. (Just like I phones front camera) I dont know how to fix this. If anyone could help that would be really nice.
Using this for a studio desk setup. Is there an external battery or other battery solution you would recommend to keep from purchasing too many of those small batteries?
