He definitely did. First his over reaction to her simple religious statement and then advancing past the counter/barricade in order to murder her. I think she sensed his evil soon as he came to her door
Another person covering this video points out that she may even have been joking as she said it. I thought the same thing when I watched it the first time when the Civil Rights Lawyer channel covered it.
This is what happens when police departments hire from the bottom of the barrel. This guy did 2 years in the Army as a mechanic before getting out on a general discharge. Do you know what that means? He was a screw up and they ushered him out as fast as they could. In addition to that, he had two DUI convictions and had worked for 6 different agencies prior to this one. He should have never been given a badge and gun.
Your analysis misses a key point. The lady was in the kitchen with the pot because the police/deputy asked her to go take care of it. So, to assume she would then attack them is wrong interpretation.
He mentions her being directed there by the cops. And he didn’t so much send her she noticed the cop pointing to the pot. I am pretty sure Izzo references that in the full version of this.
@ChuckWood I can't tell if you're being serious, cause clearly she did not, and had no intention to. She made a weird comment, and the cop said "huh?", and all she did was repeat what she said, and he gets triggered and agresses.
@@imbalancedstatus8824 Isn't it funny how the majority of cops are good. It's just that few percent that ONLY the MEDIA SHOWS. The media BARELY shows cops doing good because all they do is try to make cops look bad. And you've clearly fallen into their delusion. You're such a pathetic child.
If the kitchen tiles are 12"x12" she was between 7 and 9 feet from the living room floor divider. The cop was several feet into the living room. 12 foot plus from a small pot of hot water. Plus, the kitchen counter.
How pathetic do you need to be as an over-6-foot man, to be so afraid of a much weaker, smaller woman who wouldn't even be able to toss that water 5 feet away, when you're already standing further. This is shameful, disgraceful, embarrassing, and outright a tragic atrocity.
There's another angle or a zoom or whatever showing her hands weren't on the pot at all. She was ducking down, hands completely off the pot covering up, cowering, and he murdered her
Exactly, and while the pot was up on the counter, he kept barking "drop it" so she picked it up again and held it horizontally over her own head, before dropping it on the black desk chair that was right in front of her.
The Pitchfork tattoos on the "unnamed" officer could easily mean he's part of a Chicago based gang called the Gangster Disciples Nation. Since he's in Illinois, it makes it even more likely.
3:03 - ...AN-NNNNND he put himself in the direct line of fire of his supporting officer. (Oh, I think you said this later. I was commenting in "real-time". The shooting officer is the one who told her to tend to the pot on the stove; she was complying. The 2nd officer was closer to the pot when the shooting officer mentions it. If hot/boiling water is a valid "officer safety" concern, why didn't 2nd officer simply go turn the stove off? Instead, he walked away to peek in the other room again. They repeatedly said that they were ready to "get out of your hair", so they had ZERO obligation to remain there. They were ready to go but the ol' ID-crack addiction took over; they decided to come inside and get her physical ID even though she told them her name. Even IF she was actually threatening them with boiling water, all they had to do was back up and leave. If their well-being was imperiled by being in her presence, the simplest solution was to remove themselves from her presence.
The tattoo center is a Vegvísir, Icelandic (viking era) protective sigil against rough seas, translates to something like "pathfinder". The surrounding text looks like Futhorc, old Anglo-Saxon runes, can't make out what it's supposed to say.
Izzo, He says to not get the med kit because she is done.. yet he continues to hold her at gun point. Can’t that further show his failure to render aid. If it’s too late for the med kit..WTF you still have a gun on her?
*Newton's Laws of Motion apply as well. Also, look up Bad Elk v. United States. Massey had the right to defend against cops regardless if she complied to pick up pot at the moment he commanded. She sat on the counter confused. She tried to comply by putting it on the ground away as much as possible. As she tried to pick it up to follow commands, he shot her in the face. So, Grayson is claiming she set it up. No, Grayson set her up to confuse her, to make her pick it up and drop it on the floor. LAW OF SELF DEFENSE Channel is a LIE-AWYER It can also be argued she tried to use it as a shield or self-defense. No crime committed, not under arrest. BAD ELK v. United States reference again: cops drew their guns first. She was in a confused defense position at times, ducking. Therefore, if she had a gun, she had the right to use any weapon to defend, pot or gun or anything else for that matter, regardless of who agrees or not Replies not read from anyone anyways keep doing your thing exposing bs*
What is that murderous cop know Sonya Massey' beforehand and he was just carrying out a grudge against her and using 1096 was always his cover-up plan.
This is the worst OIS I've seen because it's both unnecessary and cold-blooded. Many OISs are unnecessary, but when the cause is inexperience, nervousness, poor training or insufficient information, you can have compassion for the officer. This officer was never in danger. He could have easily left when she crouched down. Instead, he approached her with his gun drawn. That's when she threw the water. The indifference he showed afterward won't gain him any sympathy from a jury. The others on scene didn't seem to show much sympathy for Ms. Massey either. Am I reading that wrong, Dominick? Was everyone else quiet because they were in shock thinking "dear God, what a mess", or because they didn't care?
And to anybody that doesn’t know.. poor Daniel Shaver died because of this newish stupid Simon says these dumb twits like to do with people. “Back up to the sound of my voice starting with your leg on the left..then put your right foot in and shake it all about..if you make a mistake as you move to the sound of my voice or if you glance back we to us we will take that as a threat and unalive you.” That’s not really Daniel Shaver. He died cause they made him cross feet over and all kinds of silliness and then had him belly crawl to them which made his boxers slip off an he reached to pull them up instinctively and they shot him.
Sweet God, I've tried to not watch this because I heard how bad it was... and it's even worse than I had heard. If he was so afraid of getting scalding water thrown at him, you know what direction he could have gone? Backwards. Hot water is a single shot weapon that only works from very close in. Otherwise, the water loses a ton of energy just flying through the air and dispersing. It might suck a bit, but he'd be fine. He can take his cheap revenge shots while wrestling to get em in cuffs or whatever. It would still be wrong, but I get it. If he was legitimately afraid, he would have created some space after drawing, and waited for some sort of menacing attempt to charge and throw. You probably addressed all this, but I can't watch any further than about 2:30. It's too infuriating. She never showed any indication that she was even remotely contemplating an attack. The only "threat" she posed was being black. Don't get me wrong, it might not have been just because she was black. This cowboy probably would have shot her if she was any sort of racial, ethnic, gender/sexual, or cultural minority. This guy was ready to fire on anyone but a feminine white woman, or a good ol' boy white man. Since she was black though, he was extra quick on that trigger. Gotta watch out for those working class, black women who INVITE YOU INTO THEIR HOME and HAVE THE AUDACITY TO COOK DINNER. Sorry, I'm just pissed off about a lot of things right now. This is just fuel to the fire. We don't agree about a lot politically. But you're definitely on the side of justice when it comes to how a lot of police today tend to escalate this.
I hate when we begin to question things that couldn't possibly be any clearer. IT WAS INTENTIONAL. We've all seen it. Now, let's deal with it as such, instead of getting into debates about irrelevance.
You skipped the part where he's trying to justify his actions to his partner. "look how close that water is to us", referring to a puddle moving toward them, (or imagined water on the floor). No "holy shit I just shot this lady, this is bad" Instead he acts like the typical criminal and tries to justify his actions with absurdities. I wouldn't be surprised ( but don't think he did) if he planned to shoot her at some point during this interaction.
It appears to me she put the pot in the sink and was only holding the red oven mitts when her drew down on here and she coward down….could be wrong but this is cold blooded murder!! 😢😢
Those tattoos are Nordic Asatru runes , often associated with Odinism a modern neo pagan religion that worships the old Nordic gods. BUT very often associated with white supremacists since lots of Neo Nazis subscribe to Odinism since it’s a “Nordic / Germanic - white religion” and not an Abrahamic one , which they dislike cuz they come from Semitic cultures (cuz they hate Jews in particular so they want to dissociate their religion that has anything to do with coming from a Jew - including Christianity cuz Jesus was a Jew) - Whenever I see people with heavy amounts of asatru symbolism I low key take note that they’re very possibly saying something without having to say it.
Dear lord... I know some pagans. It's becoming more popular as Europe's oldest religion. Ur looking too much into it. Sounds like it's straight from ADL website.
@@AshleyKacz nah , cuz I’ve literally been in the company of a variety of the types of people who claim Odinism and they’re , let’s just say , they’re very big fans of 14/88. Good for you that you know some cool neo pagan revivalists (I think it’s pretty cool personally as a concept and belief system) without that kind of baggage -- but it doesn’t change the fact that Odinism often attracts a certain type of “Volkisch” crowd.
Was taking this seriously til your “are these Latin king pitchforks?” That’s where dumb rumors come from dude. You know this, if you don’t know don’t throw opinions. These are Nordic symbols. My Town marshal has these tattooed as well. Come on be better if you don’t know. This is religious tattoos.
