Back in November 2021, I chased SOO Line 2-8-2 Mikado #1003 on the yearly Trains Magazine photo charter. The 1913 built steam locomotive was operating on Wisconsin & Southern trackage between Brandon and Hartford, Wisconsin, but we were only able to chase it between Waupun and Burnett. The light snowfall combined with the steam from the 1003 made for some excellent scenes!
