Sophia the Robot celebrates her birthday and talks about SophiaDAO 

She has come so very far already in her 6 short years. And now she has made a HUGE announcement about that amazing future she mentioned. She might be dancing or even playing the guitar at her next birthday party.Sophia's new next level advanced version will be Project RIA , now produced by Machani Robotics.RIA will have unique new algorithms. Near human vision, face, object and speech recognition. Surround sound imputs for better hearing. Complete manual dexterity for light task skills, with better legs and mobility than ever before. @@judithsixkiller5586 Judith, how do you know which Sophia model is which? You mentioned #18 Sophia I think from another comment. Is there a website with this information and pictures of all of the Sophia robots? For example, the Sophia on Wang Leehom’s music video of “A.I. Love” looks vastly different than the newer Sophia.

@@CandysChannel I've tried to comment twice , but I keep getting bumped off. Each Sophia has a little square tag with her ident number on the back of her clear dome .You can usually spot them as the video camera pans from behind her at the beginning . Future and National Geographic online and other Tech magazines have great articles with pics.

@@CandysChannel I've loved horror and Sci Fi geekdom since my bro and i were typical 60's kids totally immersed watching any and everything even remotely close to Kung Fu and Godzilla and so many of Irwin Allen's cool series , Of course , Star Trek , Lost In Space and My Favorite Martian . Robots were pretty much everywhere in our media. We spent every dime of allowance that we could on comic's , magazine's and Sci Fi short story compilation novel's , And going to the downtown movie theaters To see stuff like Forbidden Planet and Fantastic Voyage. It probably wouldn't be a surprise that I got swats in the 7th grade for being late ( a few time's) for class from hiding out in the school library to read The Lord Of The Rings. Being able to experience Doctor Who and the original t.v. version of The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy and Blake's 7 and EVERYTHING BBC with my fiance was just fantastic. I wish that we still had our Heavy Metal and Epic magazines! It's a good thing that he's still my husband and just the same way! I think that I've gotten a 💘 from a comment about Sophia before. But I avoid Facebook and Twitter as much as possible

She has a pair of hubo era legs , but they're a bit slow and noisey. Not to mention expensive! You can option to custom order a production model Sophia 2020 with hubo legs , but the self chartering station and mobility base seems very safe, practical and maneuverable for job sites. Hanson's former connections over at Disney Imagineering created a fantastic and ADORABLE robotic Baby Groot , and he's so. stabilized and agile on his legs that you can barely tell that he's a robot ,and not a small child wearing a costume. @@Gfish17 There are a few other robots out there with pretty darned good stair climbing abilities, So it's probably all a matter of money. If 2 or 3 of the industry research leaders would stop being egotistical prima donnas, they could collaborate to create a far more lifelike and complex task capable humanoid model and bring the prices down as well. Tbh , I think that they're much further advanced than they let on. They just don't want to release them too soon and push everyone who's already mentally and emotionally unstable into full fledged psychosis from uncanny valley induced autophobia .

@@kittymama9186 Science is meant to test and disprove claims. Now I don't know what Egoism you are referring to. But testing and disproving claims is considered a good thing in science.
