I always forget that line is coming too so its fresh every time. Considering the guy that plays Stiffler had not ever trained in drama and acting I am always amazed by his natural talent for it.

Something about this movie feels like the way things were supposed to be moving into the future if 9/11 hadn't happened, I saw it in summer 2001 and it's hard to explain but the way everything felt in media and culture before and after that disaster were very different. I was 14 at the time so there's that feeling of change mixed in.

I totally agree! American Pie 2 is my fav! I do recommend seeing the next ones as well. Wedding, Band Camp, Naked Mile, Beta House, and reunion. I don't think they are better, but they are totally worth to watch. The ones not mention not so much.

It’s not that unpopular of an opinion, I also think American Pie 2 was slightly better than the first, as did most of my friends back in college when it first came out. I think the fact that I was already out of high school when the first one came out played a part in that, but even today I think a sizable number of fans of the franchise prefer the 2nd one.

How is this only a 3 out of 5? Stiffler isn’t going to win an Oscar anytime soon, but I feel people really downplay comedies and how entertaining and uplifting they can be. These films were exactly lined up to when I was graduating high school and attending university and it was so much fun watching all of these films with my mates and people I’d recently met who were on exchange from overseas. Having a good laugh about something in common is a great way to break the ice and get to know people that you just can’t get from watching a drama or superheroes wearing underpants on the outside. Hardly anything is funny anymore - this is turning out to be a lost decade…

This film is extreme, it’s dumb, it’s hilarious and also kinda sweet. I was at the perfect age when it came out (16) and I remember having a blast with my friends at the cinema. Also, the soundtrack is so 00’s that it hurts (in a good way). Sum 41, my beloved Offspring and Alien Ant Farm’s brilliant cover of ”Smooth Criminal”. This truly brought me back to better times and I’m so grateful. You’re the best, Mary! 💙🥂

The American Pie Presents direct to DVD films might not be worth your time, still funny, but much worse, but the main franchise is comedy gold. 😂😊

I feel like American Pie main series (the four main movies) is the one of the few series' where you can like any of them the most and it wouldn't be an unpopular opinion. Maybe Reunion is an exception since it came a while after the other three. Mine would probably be the first movie for the nostalgia. I also like one of the "American Pie Presents" movies, "Band Camp". It doesn't try to mimic American Pie like other "Presents" movies and it's more like a romcom than just a "raunchy guys humor" movie. It also gives Stiffler's brother a good character arc, realizing his brother's actually a loser and not the cool guy.

Honestly the 4 core American Pie movies are all good. It’s one of the few series where I’d say there isn’t a bad one in the bunch. It’s almost perfect. Now the spinoffs, Band Camp is funny, the others are skipable. I hope you end up finishing the main four though, beyond worth it!

8:10 - When I was a kid, a "friend" did that to me intentionally. There was a tire swing and a ladder (to jump off of to swing higher) and this supposed "friend" stood on top of that ladder and peed on my head when I wasn't paying attention. Of course, that was the end of that friendship and I never went to that house again...even though his parents were my parent's friends.
