This one thing has a MAJOR benefit for gut health (it's not food!). See my video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qIo1xXLb1eE.htmlsi=frrCtmdJnF-NCVbt
The reason grains weren't a problem 50 or 100 years ago but are a problem today is because they've been breeding them to be more and more pest resistant these last few decades. If the grain is too difficult to digest and too poisonous for pests....then it also becomes too poisonous and indigestible for humans. Now you know.
I hated seeing this video, these are the types of videos that made me think I wasn’t gluten intolerant. I ate gluten for so long that I completely destroyed my colon. I’m finally on a gluten free diet and I am in so much less pain. I am so much more happier.
Been so sick with gut issues .Seen lazy GI DOCTORS.Believe me I now agree with the Point in this video .I still don't eat gluten yet am not gluten intolerant
You probably have an intolerance to glysophate which is sprayed on the all the grains now unless it says “gluten free”. I used to eat cereal all the time until the gluten era and now it makes me sick. Buy organic grain (not free) and I guarantee you won’t experience any pain.
I agree with DJ Icy. Unless you have been able to isolate gluten specifically (not wheat as a whole, but the protein), it's hard to say that gluten is actually causing the issue. Glyphosphates, which are what Monsanto sprays on wheat prior to harvesting, cause gut permeability on an intensive scale even more than gluten does. There is an entire chemical soup of processing wheat goes through in the US from growing to harvesting, and then from storage to milling, proofing, rising and baking. Bromine, iodine (not the healthy form), dough conditioners, anti-fungal agents, anti-caking agents, stripping the germ from the wheat, use of pesticides / herbicides, mold (yes a lot of wheat has mold on it), the use of chemically and hormonally altered yeasts to raise the bread faster, the use of mechanical equipment to stretch the gluten beyond what human guts are designed for. All of these are known to contribute to or even cause health related issues. If we made all our own bread from scratch with quality, organic, heirloom grains with proper milling, harvesting, and storage practices - we can take these factors out of the equation and produce much healthier breads, pastas, and baked goods. Gluten is contained in all wheat products, even heirloom and Einkhorn wheat, which for many patients who have NCGS it doesn't give them any issues. I'm just speaking as someone who used to believe I was allergic to gluten, when I wasn't. Gluten is also contained in grains like barley, and so now a lot of people are eliminating barley even though it doesn't have nearly the issues that processed, industrialized wheat has and has double the health benefits. I now use organic, Einkhorn or heirloom wheat and bake my own bread with zero, and I mean zero, issues. Still has gluten in it, yet no issues. That suggested to me that some of us are not really reacting to gluten at all, but to something in the processing that goes on in industrialized wheat. The doctor here isn't advocating for you to eat gluten at all, but just for viewers, especially those who don't have a gluten sensitivity, to have more awareness that perhaps gluten isn't really what people are reacting to at all (unless you have celiac, of course). If you have a FODMAP sensitivity, that requires a very strict diet including going gluten free but also onions, mushrooms, and many other common vegetables for a period of time and then gradually re-introducing those back in, with wheat being nearly last on that list.
If wheat makes my stomach hurt, that’s all I need to know. My hair bleached white thanks to wheat causing low zinc and I will never feel the need to test if I’m a celiac. I react to NZ wheat and not European wheat and I couldn’t care less what anyone thinks. I will never eat grains again. :-)
Hello. If you don't react to European wheat, maybe it's not the grain that makes your stomach hurt. But an additive or a processing method. Sorry for my english. Greetings
@@JH-nb4nn hello. I recommend you to take a look to what @ece421 has written in response to the first comment on this video. She did an excelent explanation of the main issues related to wheat consumption nowadays. Greetings
@@Draconisrex1 😂😂😂 Well I have tested it 100 times. And no, it's definitely not the same wheat. One is soft wheat, the other is hard wheat. One uses glyphosate, the other doesn't.
I eat a HIGH FODMAP diet and feel fine UNTIL I eat a morsel of gluten...then it's over. Immediate fatigue, speech difficulties, ataxia, memory impairment (Short term) and 24h later the gluten rage sets in....heightened irritability and feeling insanely aggressive.
@Yvonne_ozlife No it can't cause shit. It's all psychological, you think it can, then that will cause it to have an effect, but not the gluten itself, it's your brain doing it. Same with those idiots that thing 5G antenna causes cancer and shit like that
My tests came out negative. I am not ready to waste more money on tests but I have tried gluten free diet enough times over the years to know that it's definitely gluten or something specifically in wheat and not Fructans in my case, because I actually eat a huge amount of foods with fructans even if I am gluten free and if I avoid all gluten containing foods diligently (even though I never worry about contamination) my symptoms improve drastically. I can see huge changes in just a week. I have decided to stick to it this time. I am excited to see what other changes I see.
One thing I do like to add, that is sometimes helpful and some people are not aware of is that fructan molecules vary and differ (which is why during retrials we test garlic fructans separate from onion fructans, separate from fruit fructans and wheat fructans. Many individuals can tolerate some fructan compounds but not others! :) Although non-celiac glute sensitivity is rare, it does sometimes occur, Moreoften we are seeing fructan intoelrance. Regardless it is important to do what helps each individuall feel etter. I am happy to hear you have found an avenue that works for you.
If only I find exact substitute for bread that tastes like bread I’ll be gluten free for ever tried so many times but can’t keep it just keep failing I dnt know what to do
Maybe people are sensitive to gluten and/ or fructans due to leaky gut destroyed by Glyphosate that’s everywhere. Heal the gut then you can tolerate both.
so ive been 4 years gluten free. my entire life i could always eat gluten no problem. i had an h.pylori infection that messed me up, i tried the low fodmap diet and was still having migraines/bloating/anxiety/vertigo/ heart palpitations/monthly visits to the e.r. this lasted about 6 moths. when i cut out gluten, the first week i knew it was that. i tried gluten tonight and having a bad reaction, that's how i found this video. im not bashing, just giving you information to help your study. i have no problem with onion and garlic.
I was a high wholegrain vegetarian for years -partly for health reasons and partly for religious reasons . Unfortunately I was just getting fatter and sicker despite exercising regularly and vigorously. By chance I gave up bread for Lent as bread played a big part in my life . I might add that I was eating very expensive wholegrain artisan bread . I really doubted that I would last a week without bread . Within a few days if giving up bread I noticed that my chronic nasal congestion was clearing up . This was really pleasing as sinus problems had dogged me all my life and I had been hospitalised a couple of times as a child with impacted sinuses . Also I noticed that my belly was getting smaller . This was really heartening as I had a bit of a beer gut even though I didn't drink and as I say I was a regular exerciser . After about a month I noticed that some psoriasis I had developed during a very stressful time if my life were disappearing . All these positives were so rewarding that I have barely eaten wheat since in over 18 months . I had thought that going from white to wholegrain bread was a healthy choice but it wasn't . I might add that I never had overt bowel symptoms that might have made me think that I was coeliac. I found the videos by Dr William Davis to be very helpful about wheat sensitivity.✌️
I highly encourage people that believe they are gluten intolerant to have blood tests done. While I tested negative for celiac, I had elevated white blood cells for one wheat protein, glutenin but not gliadin. My gut is much happier on a gluten-free diet and I'm no longer anemic. Don't get me wrong, gluten isn't evil. I'm just talking about the science and facts behind it.
I tested strong positive for gluten sensitivity, but negative for celiac. I have a diagnosed AI disease and I don’t mind cutting out gluten, if it helps. Still experimenting.
@@rndm4642 May I ask how you were tested for gluten sensitivity? I was tested for celiac, but that came out negative... However I think I may do better without gluten.. but not sure how I could test that. What kind of test did you take? Going gluten free for at least 6 weeks when I don`t know if that will actually help is feeling daunting and expensive! ;-)
@@KKrijthegot to primary care doctor and get a blood test ran. continue eating gluten during this time so that your body will continue to produce the antibodies if you are allergic to it. celiac disease, gluten intolerance and wheat allergies all share similar symptoms so you need to narrow it down. sometimes test come back negative, but this doesn’t mean you aren’t intolerant to it. if you feel better without the gluten, then please listen to your body. you know your body better than anybody else.
Modern breads use "quick rise" yeast which causes loads of problems similar to gluten intolerance. Try real sourdough (no yeast, read the label) and see what happens. Worked for me.
I thought I had a gluten sensitivity and prolamin sensitivity. Prolamins have a very similar protein make up to gluten and our bodies can mistaken those proteins and attack them. Prolamins are: rice, soy, corn, barley, rye, quinoa. All grain in addition to potatoes and cassava causes me to become violently ill. Corn is sprayed on beef, shrimp and bacon so those items make me very sick too. I tried importing these items from a Italy... who does not use glyphosate (roundup) like we do in the US. I can 100% eat everything I'm extremely allergic to in the US. I was able to have pasta, cookies, chocolate bar! I have not been able to eat 98% of things in the US and have had to go to special butchers in the US. I cannot believe how I'm allergic to chemicals and not food!
I have to say my body completely goes into full attack mode, attacking my joints, my brain, my muscle, and my eyes on top of gut. I have the genetic markers but didn’t test positive for celiac. I react heavily to gluten but I have fructans they don’t bother me. The best I have felt is on carnivore while the vegetables like onion or garlic have zero effect.

All I can say is try it! Figuring out my gluten sensitivity has unbelievably changed my life! But, if you're still having issues, try it out! Who knows
I almost cried when I found this video. I went to a new doctor with gastritis and she put me on FODMAP and sent me to a gastro. I'm 68 and never associated my chronic constipation with a possible food sensitivity. I feel better on FODMAP and would love your list as the one I found online has some discrepancies. Thank you so much from a new subscriber.
My daughter was diagnosed by a double blood test. She is gluten intolerant. She can't have soy sauce, fries that are cross-contaminated. It sucks but eliminating gluten changed her life and gave her, her life back.
You don't understand. So called gluten intolerance has to do, not with gluten, but with a digestive problem. Think about it, gluten intolerance does not exist in other countries. It just doesn't. They've never heard of it. In Asia they will make and eat gluten in all sorts of different ways. Why? Because, it's not to do with the gluten, is has to do with the *person*, more specifically, the person's digestive system. Something is wrong with the digestive system. The mucus that protects the digestive tract tissue from harm has been negatively affected for some reason, usually due to diet, but also due to medications and other factors. Thus, foods, bacteria, yeasts, etc. which normally do not come into contact with the digestive tract, are now literally touching this tissue. The tissue has a reaction, it becomes inflamed and very sensitive. All foods will cause some level of tissue damage or inflammation as the immune system reacts. For reasons I won't get into here, the proteins in gluten are really good at 'sticking' to the digestive tissue and can cause more damage and inflammation than some other foods. So, yes, your daughter may be 'gluten intolerant,' as she has an obvious and testable reaction to gluten, but gluten is not the cause, merely a symptom of an underlying condition.
Actually i differ here. I have gluten intolerence and in my part of asia our diet is majorly rice and we are not exposed to wheat based food regularly. But in my case when i had to move out to another state where wheat is the major diet my body started reacting for the first time.. its not always due to medicines.. some of our system may not be suited for certain foods which our ancestors didnt consume at all .. so when we try it for first time in huge quantities our body cannot take it and process it..
@@scocassovegetus yea It doesn’t exist because they don’t make grains the same here in USA. They remove the bran and the germ out of wheat which is what helps us digest gluten. They did that because we are a cheap society and don’t care about food
Hi Anji, Blood test and biopsy's (an tTG-IgA) are used for diagnosing celiac disease. This is an autoimmune reaction to gluten! You are correct that in these cases removing gluten is important. This is why testing is so important.
2 days ago I tested positive for gluten intolerance. Before that i don't know WTF is gluten. I used to eat a lot fried chicken. Now doctor is saying i can't have it. Is there any way to get rid of it. I don't know why all of a sudden im allergic to food.
For me and my specific circumstances, I thought it was the gluten. Like you said, get off the gluten and you DO feel better sure. What helped me out was taking one Betain HCL (400 mg HCL/100 mg Betain) in the morning when I wake up--on an empty stomach. I'm never usually hungry but feel bloated in the morning. This helped immensely--better than ACV in the morning. I added Zinc Carnosine to this and I'm feeling better than I have in years--this is supposed to repair your stomach lining. I think lack of stomach acid was causing an environment conducive to bacterial overgrowth and/or candida. Now I don't need to take the Betain HCL every morning. My stomach finally is feeling young again. Or course this isn't medical advice, just my anecdotal experience. p.s. they say you shouldn't take HCL on an empty stomach so I took it with food and it kind of made me nauseous and things didn't feel right. Then years later actually--I read about one doctor who was prescribing Betain HCL in the morning before food. He was recommending way more than I take but this was just the boost I needed.
I want to try the the same, in stead of Betain HCL I have been taking oregano oil every morning on empty stomach and it removed my nausea and stomach pulsating feeling. Everytime I eat something I feel this strong pulse, almost like my stomach has a new heart beat. When I take oregano it doesnt happen ! If i eat too much shitty food like pizza etc it also starts to pulsate. Doctors wont explain to me why this is, but I think I might have gastritis and inflamed stomach lining. I try to make flax seed too and drink it, it helps alot. My doctors think I have too much acid but I think it might be opposite as well after antibiotics
How long did you take the Betain for? I literally just ordered some yesterday. A few docs tested me for celiac, negative. Still, I tried gluten free and it didn't help. I suspect low stomach acid as well.
I have no problems with garlic or onions or any of the other fructan sources. Every time I eat bread I have inflammation in my joints and over several days will have loose stool and unsettling nawing pain in my gut. That along with increased sinus congestion. I tend to eat large amounts of onion as pre-biotic. And never have any troubles. So far gluten in still in the running. Just recently heard of the roundup concerns and am looking into that. Some sampling in organic wheat should let me know. Some times though, I can not explain this, I can eat foods that have a white wheat and have very little reaction. I have just thought that it might have been a low gluten content white wheat flour, like eating a starchy flour. While wheat flour is a nightmare to my gut.
FODMAP food list - yes please send it to me! Am having a time with frequent diarrhea - not sure if I'm celiac, non-celiac gluten sensitive, wheat allergic or IBS
I’m sitting here crying because I’ve been struggling so hard and been having issues eating fruit and many things I see on the fructose list and everything makes sense now
It could take up to a week, but for most people who are used to eating bread, you should notice a change in pretty much one day of not eating the bread, your mood will improve tenfold
@@User-pz4re i think the cause is not gluten in my case. It has been 30 days I've been going gluten, dairy, soy, fish, grains, processed food, sugar, high calorie free diet but there is not a single change in my body. I also excluded legumes from my diet 2 weeks ago. No change. These things even made me more tired than before. My digestion has become very bad and slow after eating only veggies and fruits. I think something is wrong with veggies. I also noticed too much brain fog and tierdness after a day of eating spinach and biterguard. Any suggestions?
@@nikhilnegi9446 stop eating vegetables. A lot of those healthy vegetables contain things that leech you off nutrients just like gluten does. Try eating only meat and fruit, also, you might be sensitive to salicylates which is a chemical found in most fruits and vegetables, people sensitive to it can't eat most plants. I recommend you eat these fruits: 1. Pears 2. Mangos 3. Pomegranate Those have the lowest salicylates. Have those and have red meat (lamb or beef)
I’m just trying to stay alive. Without a feeding tube. I love food normally but since 2018 and especially since the SIBO food is not my friend. It makes me so deathly sick. What do you charge to work with people like me?
Hi, i quit gluten in 2018. My decades long severe and life ruing symptoms were nearly non existant within a week. I still had to be careful about eating 'too much' at each meal, so as not too feel uncomfortably full for 1 to 2 days. Ive just recently reintroduced yummy regular pizza dough, as well as Ezekiel bread, neither are gluten free. So its been 5 years. Anyone with a similar experience? Thanks
What test was done exactly? If it was an IgG test, it is not accurate and you might actually have a fructan intolerance. You could try eliminating to see if symptoms improve but it is important to identify the intolerance properly.
I was diagnosed with celiac in 2011 when i was 12 years old...i didn't have a gluten free diet.... neither i have any stomachache after eating gluten....the only problem i face is i get rashes on.my.legs after spending few hours outside by walking....all i want to ask now I'm 23 and 153 cm ...can I grow my height now if i go for a gluten free diet????
Do a celiac biopsy before going to gluten free. Celiac isn’t about the symptoms or managing symptoms, it’s about an autoimmune response that ravages your body and destroys the villi in your intestines. I’m asymptotic for the most part and don’t have GI symptoms from gluten, but I know the internal destruction it causes me. I was untreated for ten years because it took that long for a diagnosis and now I have all sorts of health issues. See a doctor. But get a biopsy having eaten gluten first. And then STOP eating gluten. And look up cross-contamination because you have to be mindful of that too. You’re young enough that you probably won’t have lasting damage, but lack of growth is a sign of celiac disease. At 23, your bones would have fused and there won’t be anymore height growth 😢 Sorry! But, celiac is a dangerous autoimmune disease, go see a doctor!!!!
I don’t know if i am gluten or lactose intolerant because my villis are damaged and i got my test done it says i am allergic to cow milk and gluten is still negative
I recently had my hair put through a bio-resonance test. I don't know how foolproof they are or aren't, but my report said I was perfectly fine with garlic, all fruits and veg except for corn and durian, so I doubt fructans is my issue, but I am moderately intolerant to rice, corn, chickpeas, tofu, soybeans, sesame, almonds, hazelnuts... is there anything all of these have in common? My results advised me that I'm highly intolerant to wheat and spelt in general, but perfectly fine with rye bread, (unfortunately most commercial rye breads are made with a wheat and rye blend), rye as a grain, sourdough and barley, which all have gluten, but what is sourdough? Isn't that just a starter made from a flour of choice? It also said I'm highly intolerant to every kind of animal and plant milk and dairy product, except for coconut and hemp milks. I find it odd that I'm supposedly moderately intolerant to oat milk but not to oats on their own at all. It also said I'm tolerant of Ovaltine but that's full of milk powder! I'm very confused... The only proper stodge I can have is potatoes. 😂
I wish I could speak with you on the phone or something. I need help! I recently took an allergy test and had a 5/10 reaction to Barley. The allergist recommended a gluten free diet. I saw 5-6 different Drs last year trying to figure out what is wrong with me. Joint inflammation in my right elbow (previously thought it was tennis elbow) and in my right ankle (foot and ankle Dr said I have a tiny bit of arthritis in my ankle) nothing explains my pain though. I had an MRI, tons of blood work, PRP injection, did PT all of this started to happen about 3 weeks after I was vaccinated April 2021 (may or may not be relevant) I also have muscle stiffness in the surrounding muscles. Every Doc I saw had no idea what was wrong and told me I could have RA. My primary care Dr has been doing inflammation marker tests on me for the past 2 years and doesn't think it's RA, thank goodness. That diagnosis itself really messed with my mental health. I don't know what to do. I'm so desperate to reverse this. I was previously in really good shape, 28 5'11" 175 lbs. All my blood work shows near perfect. What led me to get an allergy test is I did a carnivore diet experiment and within days my symptoms were nearly gone. I quit 24 days in because my kidneys started to hurt and I was afraid I was doing more harm than good. Any advice would be immensely appreciated. I apologize for this mess of an explanation.
Did you figure it out? I have a diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis and IBS but also have had general inflammation issues for ages. I've been sooo sick for years. I started the RPAH elimination diet recently and already feeling better. I haven't isolated what it is yet, I suspect amines but could also be preservatives and salicylates. Note that low fodmap did improve my IBS, but didn't resolve the inflammation.
The common denominator would be lectins. lectins are in beans , rice, potatoes, Wheat and many other grains also night shade veggies. Gluten is a lectin as well , it just so happens to be the worse one for most. Its found in wheat ,barley and other grains. Im most sensitive to wheat , beans and night shade vegetables like egg plant and zucchini
I always suspected my husband has this because he gets bloating and digestive issues. He looks pregnant sometimes. I might have it too in the form of add, anxiety and brain fog etc. We are both going to cut out gluten and fructans for 2 weeks Sept and see how different we feel. Idk if its gluten or franken chemicals but either way Im sticking to eggs meat chicken vegetables and rice if rice is ok?
Holy COW...I think I may have found the channel I was looking for! I've been suffering for so many months and no docs have been able to properly diagnose my issues. I'm a hummus and garlic fanatic and now I think I can connect the dots...thank you in advance, I'm on day one of a new food illliminatIon! I would love a food list too please❤
I ironically eat a large amount of watermelon almost everyday and it does not cause symptoms. However, recently I have found that cutting out gluten has drastically helped my digestion, bloating, etc. Could this mean that fodmaps are not the culprit, and that gluten still may be?
Hi Inna, This is very hard to answer without knowing more. Have you been tested for celiac disease? Did you make other changes at the same time etc? For most people who aren't celiac one or more of the FODMAPs is usually the problem, but there are many variables to consider.
I love garlic and onions. I often eat garlic to help myself feel better. In 2022 I was hospitalized (I was found unconscious in the bathtub). My first dinner there was this lovely turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy. I was marveling that they made good gf gravy. The next morning, I was so nauseated that I couldn't eat. This went on for 4 days. Then, laying on my bed, I had "the gas". I made a mad dash to the bathroom, but had diarrhea all the way from my bed to the bathroom. I normally eat a gf diet. I didn't expect to get glutened by the hospital (they cook all their own food). I cried while the nurse's aide's helped clean me up, get new gown and socks. Does it matter if it's CD or non-CD gluten sensitivity?
Now I'm just confused, wheat biased products do cause problems for me, but on rare occasions I can have a small amount and be fine. I definitely don't have an issue with onion or garlic, but I'm also lactose intolerant in large amounts, small quantities is ok. Like I said just more confused.
I don't think it is FODMAP for me, because I eat a lot of Indian, Mexican, Asian, Ethiopian foods with lots of garlic/fructose. Simply cutting out gluten completely and moving over to quinoa, chia, chickpea flour etc has removed all of my symptoms.
I cut gluten and felt better. Turns out gluten wasn't the culprit though. After my allergy test, my PCP sent me to a gastrointestinal doctor and onions and garlic were tearing me up. I hate onions but I was shocked to see that all of my spices contained both. I'm told that the low FODMAP diet isn't a forever diet...is this true?
I’ve been exposed to extreme mold for 5 years. I lived in a rental where there was a stream underground that caused severe mold in the walls of this place which ruined my furniture, clothes, etc… I lived there almost a year and now in my mobile home for 4 years. I have a broken pipe in my wall that I can’t afford to fix then I’ve had 2 other pipe brakes causing severe mold in this place. For the past 5 years my weight has gone thru the roof. I’m taking diet pills thru a doctor and in about 6 months I’ve only lost about 5 lbs and my blood pressure has gone way up. I read that mold could be a factor. Either way I should not look like I’m pregnant when I’m not eating as much but I do have extreme amounts of stress. I don’t know what to do and don’t trust doctors since they took out my gallbladder and shouldn’t have.
im getting tests run reguarding my chronic constipation. I'm just cutting out gluten for 2 weeks to see if it improves. same with dairy, low fats, low foodmap diet. Im just trying to see what works for me so i can poop 😭
I have been eating wheat and gluten foods for 59 years. I never had any issues, except maybe bloating a few times, etc.. On January 8th, i had ate leftover fettuccine from a local small Italian restaurant near me and a piece of chicken breast and four pieces of shrimp from Applebee's at 8:00 pm, after 25 minutes after eating it, my tongue started to burn and swell up. Then my left hand started to get red and itch. I was also very light headed and my asthma kicked in too. I immediately went to the ER right away and they treated me with benadryl, steroid, Injection. It started to take affect and i felt better eventually. However, they thought i was allergic to the shrimp, but it wasnt the shrimp!!! I went a week later and had a complete blood work done!!! I found out that i have a moderate allergy with wheat!!! Its #2 on the scale from 1 to 5. How can all of sudden i develop a wheat allergy overnight? I stopped immediately eating anything with gluten or wheat in it!!! I did loose 35 lbs since January, which i was happy about that, but im finding it very hard to eat normal food. Now that this new allergy has came into my life after 59 years, any suggestions what i can safely eat? I dont want to have a anaphylaxic shock again... 😢
Are you referring to people with wheat allergy as well? I tested positive via a blood test to be allergic to wheat, rye and barley hence my Gastroenterologist putting me on a strict gluten-free diet. It was extremely difficult but I totally feel better.
@@jdssurf I kind of always feel that way bc I have lupus but my stomach always hurt. I was always itchy. Since cutting out all gluten I’m not itchy anymore and my stomach is getting better
Haha tell that to my gluten ataxia. I had many people tell me to keep eating gluten even when I started being unable to walk and think properly. Finally advanced tested confirmed what it.
Hello. I think Dr. refers to sensitivities to wheat but not to conditions like coeliac / gluten ataxia / DH. Of course those are unequivocally immune responses to gluten. Best wishes. Greetings
Interesting potential insights. What are the studies you are citing on this question? It seems like making scientific claims without grounding them in the actual studies isn't super helpful IMHO.
Thank You for this information , i recently diagnosed Celiac and very happy being gluten free but i have digestive issues with legumes , rice and with some greens and now i know what causing it , i will do more research about it and will keep an eye on my diet let see if i have Fructan intolerance or not .
Both of my brothers have celiacs, my dna test came back negative, but it seems to be related to my issues. I just developed a horrible reaction to chili powder and/or pepper that caused horrible gastritis that required an ER visit. Any ideas FODMAP food list please.
A lot of us are reacting to glyphosate the common weed killer. For years I thought i was allergic to gluten but nope. The pesticide!! I have Graves’ disease and I learned through research what’s been hurting my body and fatiguing my mind was this weed killer. So happy!

I am sensitive to bromine which is what they put in a lot flour in USA and not just the gluten containing one but in glutinous flour it’s the worst. You also overlooked Glycosides which they spray most grains with.
YUP! I'm allergic to glyphosate and it's sprayed on or an ingredient in 97% of thing in US supermarkets. I imported goods from Italy and I can eat NO PROBLEM!
I have a milk and wheat allergy… l hate it. The diet is making me sick. I am so constipated l am extremely ill. I kinda had a double-blind which is why I feel I may have gluten intolerance. I haven't taken an expensive blood test yet to confirm. I had Ikea meatballs because why the heck would you not get the meatballs at Ikea? So anyway, I got Ikea meatballs and ate from the first bag. Stomach got upset about an hour later, pretty bad. I thought it was the sauce. Second bag, I had without the sauce. Stomach hurt again so I thought it was due to the fact that I didn't fully cook it. Third bag, I over cooked it til the exterior was nicely crispy, still got an upset stomach that was really bad. Turns out there's wheat in it and I had no clue until I looked after the third bag. Why would there be wheat in meatballs? I think what happened to me is something I read about where I've consumed enough processed flour over my lifetime that due to the nature of over-refining, has caused my immune system to respond and ultimately now go on high alert towards gluten. I got this 3 years ago. Probably not Fructans because I put onions and excessive levels of garlic in everything I eat almost.
If u have sensitivity to fodmap foods, does it cause inflammation and bloating in the bowels? And is there a root cause for fructan sensitivity such as candida?
If you have a FODMAP sensitivity it is the fermentation of fodmap compounds in the colon, that result in bloating, gas, and/or changes in bowel movements. This can for some impact low grade inflammation however most often this will not impact other inflammatory markers such as CRP. At this time there is no concrete root cause to fructan sensitivity but rather it is often thought to be a combination of shifts in our gut microbiome, vagus nerve, and other physiological changes that may be the “cause”.
I believe what he is saying. I had never been able to eat onions or garlic. Everytime I would eat it I would get really bad indigestion. Being from another country I had never heard of all this gluten, fructan, etc. I guess I need to check my markers for food sensitivities!
water Mellon , onion and garlic gave me a eureka moment ! all three are culprits in my case . what can be done not to have to cut out those from the diet. life is pretty dull without them.
I think you are right on the money here. I have noticed that my eczema and rashes continue even when eating gluten-free products. Can this be due to the product not stripping away all the fructans? My gluten-test are not showing anything. But I do I have an allergy towards Birch and Timothy grass, and nearly all the "cross-allergy" foods are oat, barley, rye, wheat + fruits with stones and legumes. Just one of these fruits and my eyes are so damn itchy I cant do anything lol
Stopped eating Wheat , Barley , Rye, Raw Onions, less Garlic, raw Cabbage, Jalapenos and in one year my symptoms were gone. I was bloated, brain fog, over weight, lower intestinal pains, gas, water retention and had inflammation everywhere.
Well I thought I was gluten intolerant for so long but now I know I actually have a grain allergy. It took forever to find out the truth because doctors literally had no idea what was wrong and thought I was celiac but I kept testing negative. When I tell people they just think that means I get an upset stomach but actually it means I get hives, rashes, trouble breathing, dark circles, nausea, body aches, dizziness, and extreme fatigue. I wish more people knew about it so they didn't have to suffer for so long like I did.
i found this not long ago, i had pretty bad IBS symptoms, colic constipation and weak digestion the habit of dusting dough with ANY type of flour was destroying my gut i can only speculate that, the raw starches absorbs the body's fluid, forming small gooey lumps that sticks in the gut lining, and this is in everywhere, people do this on pizzas, breads, tortillas, cakes and cookies etc the worst being bread and pizza because dusting is part of the process of opening and baking the dough, and the least problematic are pasta because they are cooked in water so no dust left instead of dusting with flour, now i brush the dough with olive oil so it doesnt stick, all my "gluten intolerance" symptoms were gone, i avoid buying wheat products from the supermarket and bakery
Chives, green onions, asafoetida, etc. The point isn't to eliminate onions for the rest of your life, just reduce the quantity of onions to reduce symptoms.
My dietitian did mention fodmaps but told me to continue taking probiotics daily as well as magnesium so see how I feel, and if that didn't help then to do the fodmaps diet
