Sort files by multiple columns. Sort files by multiple criteria in File Explorer. 

Sometimes you need to sort files and folders by multiple criteria like name, folder, type, size, date modified etc.
Here is an easy method to sort your files & folders using multiple attributes or criteria.
To sort the files by kind - type - size :
first, click on the kind Column Heading
& then to also have them sorted by type, hold down the Shift key & click on the Type Column Heading
& then to further sort them by a third criteria "Size" hold down the Shift key & click on the Size Column Heading.
It's sorted by size but in descending order.
To change it to ascending order shift click once more.
AFTER THE FIRST CRITERION FOR EVERY ADDITIONAL CRITERION YOU SORT THE FILES BY, HOLD DOWN THE SHIFT KEY WHILE CLICKING ON THE COLUMN HEADING.
