I had a pretty good idea the series wouldn't end with Bojack's death. For one thing, there's something called the Werther Effect where showing something like that in media can lead to copycats. A lot of struggling people identified with Bojack, and it would be pretty irresponsible of the writers to put a message that can be misinterpreted to mean, "Things will only get better if you're gone." Besides this, I feel like the whole series has had a running theme that Diane summed up in the end as "life's a bitch and then you keep on living." There's always more show. Nothing ever ends. Terrible things happen, but then life goes on. This was a theme going back to season 1. I think this is the only way this show could have ended. Bojack has made mistakes that he can't undo. He has lost people he can't get back. But even so, his life goes on. There are signs that he might do better, and signs that it won't be easy. Having a definitive happy or sad ending would go against the central message of the show.

Apparently, there are 3 endings to BoJack Season 6. 6x7: optimistic where he ends up as a professor 6x15: pessimistic where he dies 6x16: realistic where life goes on

There are 3 perceived endings by VIEWERS. But the creator has stated that Bojack does not die and 6x16 is the intended ending.

Is important to know that every season could have been the last from the production standpoint. That's why the downer episode is the 11th, because they always wanted to make the 12th the little epilogue after the catastrophe; one small shine of hope at the end of the tunnel. "Life is a bitch and you keep living" was in fact the moto of the show all the time.

I need to watch Avatar now, not just for the show but also so I can come enjoy your reactions to it afterward. Appreciate you guys! PS: Gina ended up getting Fireflame! The billboard was behind PB in the diner window. PPS: You should watch the Horsin' Around Christmas episode! For some reason Netflix made it a separate "show" so you need to search for it. It came out between seasons 1 and 2, so it's still early in the show's development (and story), but it's a fun little episode.

I don't think Peanutbutter has become Bojack in any way, I think he just didn't get as much character focus and development in the last few seasons outside of his romantic relationships, and it would feel like a cop out to claim he changed radically off screen. He also never had the boundary problem to address with Bojack because it never existed between them, and I'd argue that's why he can have Bojack come live with him, PB isn't dependable enough for Bojack to become codpendent on. And that's probably for the best!

Thank you so much for the past 76 weeks of sometimes hilarious and other times reflective reactions and discussions for this wonderful show. I did not watch this show beforehand, but I knew of it so was eager to get into it since it was well-received. It was fun watching this weekly since it had a very episodic nature but also allowed me to breathe after some of the episodes such as last week. When I first started watching this show I personally thought it was going to be more of a fun sit-com animated show with some witty dialogue. Well, it did have that but also explored a lot more than I expected not only with its mature themes but also the way they experimented with some of the episode structures and animation styles. Whilst I have only just finished recently so I will have to think about it I do think this might be one of my favorite shows right there alongside Monogatri, Better Call Saul, Mr. Robot and The Good Place. I am interested to see what you are going to be starting next week, whether it is a returning show or a brand-new show I will be there as always.👍

For me, personally: Best tv-show of the last decade. The writing is just nearly immaculate. 100/10, no notes. Got both great comedy, and crushingly great existential drama. I was definitely one of those people who felt that it was a cop out to have Bojack survive. I wanted the dark edgy ending. But that was never what the show was about. It was always about dealing with the shitty things in your life. Of course they weren't gonna end it with saying the only way out is through killing yourself. That's be a terrible message to leave for the people who related to Bojack and who were going through similar things. It took a while for that to really sink in for me.

Love Schaffrillas Productions and I love different readings of different characters but personally as someone who loves Princess Carolyn... if you haven't watched it yet maybe be prepared for his take, he doesn't like her that much. I really tried to get engaged with the videos but I kinda stopped after his 3rd season recap. I just don't like that he let Mr Peanut Butter slide by without mentioning the bad things he does in the early seasons too but really goes hard on what pc does wrong. For me a review has to either be: It's either all or nothing, you either acknowledge the bad in all characters or you leave it at a general level of yeah they did bad stuff, you can't just go hard on one character and not the other.
