Cervantes will always be one of the best characters. He's been in all of the games to date, and his fighting style is fucking top notch. AND he's a pirate captain with a hot daughter. I hope one day he gets Soul Edge back.
Aye, he was. That Geo Da Ray was a pain, not to mention where he'd catch you and do that throw where he's blast you a number of times with that pistol sword and slam you down. Speed and power, a deadly combination
"Come with me...to HELLLLL!!!" Without a doubt, the best SC character ever. Next to Algol, Dampierre, Necrid, Nightmare, Zasalamel, Hilde, and Setsuka. "Stop STRUGGLING!!" "I shall feast on your SOUL!" This is WAYYY better than his SCIV theme. This is a lot more pirate-ey. Whereas the latest one is kinda' just like: "Yeah........I'm a pirate." This one's like: "YEAH, B*TCH! I'M A GOD-DAMN PIRATE! FEAR ME!!!"

Now THIS is a PIRATE. He's incredibly cool in SCIV (well, besides the painfully bad voice acting at least), but Cervantes was definitely at his very fucking best in SC2 and will remain as his best appearance ever in the series, period. His voice, his personality, his lines, even his freaking theme song, EVERYTHING about him was beyond badass. "Mhmhuahahahah... COME WITH ME TO HELL!!"
As big a One Piece fan that I am, I'd have to agree with TheFawfulfan on this one. Cervantes is definitely closer to the truest rendition of the traditional and historical pirate.

There are only four songs in SCII that I like: 1. No Turning Back 2. Raise Thy Sword 3. The Legend of Zelda Theme 4. This song Bit of a letdown with the SCII OST, but as soon as I first heard this, I nearly died of the exposure to pure awesomeness lol
@goochmas It was this theme that made me pay attention to the music in Soul Calibur. I could listen to this song for hours; which is why I'm disappointed that it's only uploaded as a 3 minute song. No one has extended it yet. :/
When I hear this music I always Imagine 2 things Seeing Cervantes saying: Arrrr... Shiver me timber or Seeing a Whole pirate fighting game with Cervantes, Jack Sparrow, Tetra (from Zelda Wind Waker) and Balthier (He's a Sky Pirate after all) and All incarnations of Captain Redbeard as main charaters :P
Reason why he hasn't appeared in any pirates movies is because he would massacre the whole VoC, the pirates and feast on their souls all before tea time.
@xOmniCloudx Hell yes. I mean, it is epic yet fits the period of the Golden Age of Piracy perfectly. I also loved dressing all the characters/fighters in their seaworthy attire to make them like pirates a little bit on my GameCube was back when. I don't think Link though in the GameCube version needed his Zora tunic since he looked seaworthy already. Ha ha. ^__^ Still an awesome game, maybe the best in the series.
Yeah! Exactly. They all looked great in this game. Wearing his coat as a cloak...Badass. At least in this one he doesn't looks like the missing member of WMCA! (Just kidding)
