As an example of how chaotic Soul Eater is, it has what I consider to be the best example of the ambiguously gendered character. Chrona (the pink haired kid in the black robes) is referred to as both male and female at different points in the story and never has their gender confirmed. Chrona is asked directly multiple times and never gives a straight answer. This is brought up regularly, has zero plot relevance, and is never answered beyond a 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♀️

Soul eater fma and blue exorcist had better anime only continuations than their manga counterparts lol. And yes I include brotherhood, the animation carried it it lost all the pacing and tone of the original, it should have flopped like the blue exorcist redo

If the had we probably would've gotten a real ending rather than the rushed mess that the anime ended up with.

Honestly, my only fault with the anime ending is that "the power of courage beats the big bad". and that Maka had both meister powers and death scythe powers, a precedence that had never even been suggested in the show or manga. Other than those gripes, it was far better than the drug rush that was the manga ending. Dead Man Wonderland suffered from the same problem.

Grey and Soul had different voice actors, but there's a lot of overlap between the two shows. Black Star was Wendy Marie Mjolnir was Erza Tsubaki was Mirajane etc, etc

kid also had the same voice actor as korekiyo shinguji from danganronpa 3 and stein has the same voice actor as saiki kusuo's dad in the disastrous life of saiki k :)

It's possible the anime could come back due to fire forces ending. The studio that animated fire force may try to animate soul eater and adapt it properly this time as well.

@@jasonkeith2832 Sadly the one downside of Soul Eaters Dub is that Brittney Karbowski can't make Black Star sound Boyish. Which unfortunately makes Black Star's over the top moments to sound Painfully forced. There is an excuse, Brittney said in an interview that BlackStar was the hardest role she played, because It was her first boy role and it shows. Now I will give her credit when Black Star is just talking normally, it does sound kinda cute.
