@@BelatedGamer No, Defience is best, or second best after Soul Reaver 1. Kain in Defiance is the real highlight, his gameplay is fantastic. I really wish we have a continuation , like the Dark Prophecy.

Raziel's Wraith Blade is one of the coolest weapons ever in games.

I like how they Chronoplast chamber visions actually came true in later games with some dot connecting. The Kain Reaver was retroactively now meant to represent one of the elemental Reavers collected in a later game, and Raziel absorbing Aeriel's soul happened in Defiance.

The Kain Reaver does actually look black and red in the Playstation cheatcode version. Still, I can get why they cut all the Reaver upgrades from the game. It would have been cool to have more areas to explore, but ultimately the combat system wasn't complex enough to warrant so many different upgrades. Most of the glyphs are already pretty useless as is.

All of the cut content (well, almost all) was reintroduced in next games.

Aparently the glyphs were meant to be better integrated into SR1's level design and combat than they ended up being, but due to time constraints this never happened.

I hope we will get the remake and that the rumors are true about it coming to ps5 I currently reply the soul reaver games and when it happens hopefully all the cut content finds a way into it. It's still so bad the story doesn't continue after defiance. Worst Cliffhanger in gaming history

How the Janos know about Raziel when he traveled back in time? If Janos hadnt had been killed by human raziel, kain would have never been born but the Hylden would roam free with out a champion
