@@kylekatarn1986 I already did, it's just i never read how SC Legends story goes. But i know it's a non-canon spin off and takes place between Soul Edge and Soulcalibur. And well, she even mentions the whole SC legends story there while talking to Siegfried. She also have that eye color placement exactly the same, with Blue on her right eye and Red on her left eye.

Honestly...This wasn't as good as Setsuka's story mode. Setsuka's story mode was just rife with new characterization. From the explicit contents of her relationship with Shugen, to Shugen himself, to the missing components of Setsuka's fighting style. All of the lapses within her story were pretty much covered. Hwang's story does accomplish a bit of the same thing in a shorter time span. But his story seems to wrap up far more cleanly in the DLC than Setsuka. Prior to this update, Hwang was essentially a rather straight-forward heroic character. A noble and competent military commander with immense skill in martial arts. Aside from that, there was no real narrative conflict with his story. Yunseong was a runaway fledgling warrior with great ambition. Seong Mi-na sought to overcome the social limitations of her gender and keep Yunseong safe. Hwang didn't have this kind of narrative complex. He was just another warrior who sought after Soul Edge. Hwang's redesign offers a much more nuanced perspective while further emphasizing his most distinguished characteristics. Right from the get-go, Hwang is shown to be driven by a sense of patriotism. He fights to keep his country safe and is not concerned with status. This is evident in his willingness to fake his own death and pursue leads on Soul Edge covertly. He is also met with the stunning realization that his own skill is not enough to overcome the minions of Soul Edge, and willingly adopts Taoist sorceries to enhance his chances of success. Further, he is seen struggling with his own loyalty in comparison to his own well being in his new story. In essence, Hwang's narrative only provides substance to what we know or thought we knew about him, while both supplementing nuance to the flexibility of his own perspectives and renewing his purpose in the Soul Calibur continuity. Instead of being a military hero that he was in the original continuity, Hwang is now a shadowy front line operative targeting those who enable Soul Edge directly. One of my main concerns for Hwang, at this point, is whether or not he will remain a prominent fixture in Soul Calibur games throughout. I believe with the update to his character visually, gameplay, and story, there will be plenty of interest for his continued return and participation in Soul Calibur games. While his design is heavily anachronistic (I don't recall historical Koreans ever using the Chinese Dao+ TKD is a modern martial art), it is cool that the Soul Calibur team has Hwang tackling the supernatural aspect of the continuity from a generally Asian perspective.
If you're taking my statement out of context sure. But I was comparing other characters specifically to Hwang. And prior to 6, Yunseong was a more complex character than Hwang. He was young, a runaway, rebellious, and ambitious. Hwang was at most, a straight edged hero. There was simply more to work with in Yunseong.
It’s possible there setting up Hwang into a very interesting story plot that would revolve around Seong Mi-Na and Yoeng-Sung. I would love to see the game explore the conflict of Yun-Seong pursuing soul-edge and Hwang have to stop him even if it means hurting Seong Mi-Na.
@@davy209 That would be my hope. My main concern going forward is the guarantee of Hwang being included in future games as a playable character. Though, to your story prospect, I don't think Hwang and Seong Mina would be at odds in curbing Yunseong's ambition. Seong Mina has presumably fought Yunseong before in order to stop him from claiming the Soul Edge. Yunseong is her destined battle in SOul Calibur 3. I feel that Hwang and Seong Mina would be working in tandem to bring Yunseong back safely.
Soul calibur should be played on PS but then again it might come to the Wii or GameCube 🟦 that's what I think of the Wii as a GameCube gen on the go console
48 (forty-eight!) Minutes, 4 single round fights?!? this game is a real joke. Not to mention how poor it is ... and super boring .... but where did the old Soulcalibur go?
Uh, this is a reinvention of the story modes from prior Soul Calibur titles. This is basically a "side story" that happened between the end of SC1 and near the beginning of 2. P.S: Tales of Souls (story mode) from SC3 is basically a single round match. Not so much different than this one. So I don't know what you're going on about.

VERGOGNOSO as content ... single player mode from VOMIT! the arcade without intro ... even without even the grid of character selection! and you can not even see the color you are selecting ... there is no fucking final screen ... depending on the difficulty ALWAYS gives you the same opponents in the same order and put only one stage (ONE) of those added and the others you can forget! If by chance you have bought DLC you have thrown the money because you NEVER propose them in ANY mode! and we want to talk about "libra of soul"? a boredom never seen before! does not integrate ANY of the stages added ... even those free ... makes you fight endlessly always and only on those few initial (and also throw for the most part ...) all with only those tedious and endless awful drawings between fights ... the game does not give ANY kind of gratification / reward to the player ... I stop here but I could continue ... To conclude ... Soulcalibur best ever is the 3! but Soulcalibur 5 is definitely better than this garbage! under ALL points of view of quality, graphics and content! and we do not speak of soulcalibur 4 which is even better than 5! The 6 is good ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY for online and sick of combos, for all others is not worth anything ... P.S. I have stupidly bought this crap at day one paying full price ... then, for some strange form of masochism ... to throw in 2 stages more (given the poverty of the game ...) I also threw my money on DLC ... that practically I do not EVER! so define Soulcalibur 6 the lowest point of the series is almost a compliment.
