These combos are great. Never really thought of it this way. (That 214 B (FAST INPUT) is difficult sometimes.)

A,B,K and G are the universal notation for the buttons; on XBox A is X, B is Y, K is B and G is A. On PS3, A is Square, B is Triangle, K is Circle and G is X. The numbers are the directions; it starts at 1 (which is down-left) and goes counter-clockwise.

I was mostly just looking at videos, and came across this one last night. Perfect editing / layout in this video, I really liked it. :) As far as me playing Cervantes, that's probably a no-go. I feel he's a very strong, very well rounded character, but at this point in the game I don't feel like picking up anybody else really. All my time in to learning a new character will continue to go in to Yoshi!

If it is an animation that shows him stabbing the ground, it is his old 22_88B which is now 11B. However, the attack juggle has been removed in SCV.

The audio consists of the four themes of Cervantes from Soul Blade through Soul Calibur III. Only the first part, called Bravely Folk Song, is in SCV in which you have to buy the Soul Blade music pack DLC.

yes, and acording to SCV story line, he obtained a new body (age 48 years old) 5 years after the events of SCIV.

If you mean the just frame after iGDR; it is another iGDR motion, but the animation occurs on an airborne opponent.

@Realmasterorder for iGDR, it's fastest input, so when inputting, make sure to have 4 and B pressed at the same time. Everything else are just frames (DC K B:B and CH 1A:B) My advice is to input the command right before the first attack hits. i.e. press 1A, then right before it hits, press B

Without a wall, iGDR x 3. With a wall, it depends on positioning and your starter. However, to maximize your damage output, learn to link/hit-confirm iGDRs and CEs.

For things like B+G, yes you can CE off of them. However, you can only CE after B2 attack throw IF they don't ukemi. Otherwise, it will miss. Many players against Cervantes don't know that you must often ukemi to avoid his great ground game. Compared to those like Natsu and Viola, it's safer to ukemi against Cervantes and avoid the extra damage.

Never use 22A BE unless you're going for shenanigans or you're opponent has no idea how to deal with it. It can be JG'ed, stepped, GI'ed really easily. Hell even the frames on block only guarantee CE which then wastes a whole meter. As for pokes, 2A, 3K, WR K, 4KK to name a few. Abuse aB and 1A,B. aB is fast, trades with a good amount of frametraps. 1A,B is one of the fastest lows in the game, leads into 70 dmg combo with iGDR on CH. Hope this helps!

iGDR is fastest input so it the stance is coming out (known as DC or Dread Stance), then you need to be faster.

@Realmasterorder it's A+B GI at tip range, so moves like Nightmare's 3AA, Ivy's 3[A], etc. will trigger this animation.

@shadowluigio It's basically iGDR on an airborne opponent. It's a little weird, but if the opponent is close and in the air, that's what will come out. And yes, to the second question, too.

The only move (I know of) that has that animation without the move notation is 4B BE, or back Y brave edge.

Perform 1A:B on counterhit. It is a just frame so you have to practice it a bit.

The opponent's attack must be at tip range. Example: Nightmare's 3AA. A+B at tip range to get that GI animation.

If your PS3 controller is under default settings. Triangle=B, Square=A, Circle=K, X=G.

make sure you smoothly and properly input the 214 motion. also, make sure you don't press B before you get all the way to 4. lastly, try to make sure there's as small a gap between your input of 4 and your input of B. iGDR is one of the more difficult JFs in the game, but it's nothing like JF Twister or Manji Carve Fist. you'll get it.

For 360, it's quarter circle back and Y (for default settings) when back and Y are pressed at the same time. It would be good though to learn the notation for SCV; helps to understand what ppl are talking about. I'd recommend finding a tutorial or going to 8wayrun.com to learn more.

@jet546 Awesome video dude I did notice you missed one thing maybe you weren't aware of I'll be honest I don't know the terminology like (1a:B) so I'll keep it simple you can do the roman cursed fire after the certain throws like throw number 2 (b+g) and the anti air (catch throw with the two shots to the gut) after he slams them to the ground u can do roman cursed fire as well but the timing is a little funny but as long as there feet are up he'll catch them no matter what character

I would like to try most of these combos, especially the wall combo ones. I cant get the Just input of Geo Da Ray Conclusion. Its hard for me to get the timing on it.

Yeah, it helps by a lot! And therefore i would ask your thoughts on 44A+B i am more of a bait player and this move sometimes rewards u by a lot. Combined with a backstep lets u get nicely behind and on hit, follows up big damage. Sure, it's not that safe on block ^^'

Having used 360 and PS3 pad and an arcade stick, I say use whatever you're comfortable with. I use a 360 pad personally and can get iGDR pretty consistently on it. As for a video, I'll think about it (and figure out how to properly record my hand movements). But as I say for iGDR, practice makes perfect.

7:20 -I though I was the only who knew that shadow flare was possible 13:17-13:19 -Ithought you can only do that in soulcalibur2! The only good combos in thisvideo : 3:58-4:01 6:19-6:23 6:33-6:38 7:00-7:07 7:47-7:50 8:05-8:10 8:20-8:28 8:33-8:40 8:22-8:31 8:40-8:47 10:20-10:27 12:20-12:28 12:57-13:08 Also, you could've chained F-Dutchman or Devastator, Full Sail Anchoring, or Scissor Wave in the Merciless Needle~Killer X combo at 4:48. And 7:08 - Bloody Culverin in G.I. now?

EUDESTROYER Not really resurrected, I guess. Up until SCV, Cervantes was under Soul Edge's control. Then he broke free of the sword's control, and is back in SCV and out for blood.

I don't get your second question, but it's his A+B aGI at max range. Try it with attacks like Nightmare's 3AA or Ivy's 3[A].

Kotushk Fier That aGI is A+B, and it blocks all horizontal attacks, excluding Critical Edges and Unblockable attacks. As for the second question, that's another Unblockable cancel trick that Cervantes has. If you cancel that Unblockable at the right time, he has his back turned for a moment.

For real man... Cool vid and all, but why so many combos? There's no point on showing 100 useless combos, show the best ones from each starter (with and without iGDR as not everyone is using these, need practice). Like 3B->8B+K->2A+B and 3B->sumthin with iGDR etc. Also bonus combos using meters are acceptable too, as they're situational and useful, but there're way too many bad combos in this vid;> I enjoyed it tho =)

well done video i played cervy as my main secondary character in sc4 n enjoyed playing him a lot his teleportation move 214:6 was a lot of fun i just cant seem to get into scv cervy my main is and always has been nm but cervy is still cool though i have been trying to use a pat for my scv secondary

I dont know ... yes this combos are very good but ofte double or tripple wall-hits ... in SC IV were so much cool other kombos possible =( dont really like SC V ... and critical edge =(

These combos are nothing compared to his combos in II. Also the fear the name crap would've been better with Warren Rodgerson from II. Seitz yells angrily too damn much
